I dont find anything in recruiting hard to believe. After all, these are still 16-18 year old kids making a decision.
Think about that. Campbell offers a lot of kids each year. And he didn't offer Sullivan, even with his dad's ties to ISU. Clearly, they didn't think he fit with the roster/type of defense we run. It's not a difficult thing to wrap your mind around.
Again, that is still pretty dumb to look at the defense at try and judge the player like you are doing. It's also weird for you to say he wasn't the star given I would bet my paycheck you didn't watch a single North Carolina game. And it's even weirder you are trying to say he isn't good because of stats because Pevy was our best DB and he didn't put up massive stats his senior year because no one threw the ball his way on purpose.
Is there bad blood or tension between Sullivan and ISU?
The particulars are not coming to mind but I thought I remembered that they were not on great terms.
I think it was more between Jake and Pollard, iirc. Jake isn't a guy that would push his kids to ISU.
Jake has talked about it during the radio show with Chris, Ross, and Jess.

Not saying he would push him one way or the other but was not sure on the details. It is refreshing to see guys like Keagan Johnson's dad and Trevor Bollers let their kids decide where they want to go without steering them one way or the other.
Did you watch them? Think people threw away from him? I seen a few minutes of them vs Clemson. Have no recollection of him at all. Was he injured? I see he didn't play their last 3 games.
I'm guessing that if Sullivan wanted to a Cyclone, he would be a Cyclone. Same thing if Bollers wanted to be a Hawk, he would be one.
If he wanted him he would have got him. It's not like he was some highly sought after recruit he had 3 total offers including Iowa
They trusted him enough to play a zero defense.
So either they thought he could play on an island, or their DC is an idiot.
