Iowa Football Recruiting

Revisiting Maro.
Oregon is going to wrap up their OL for this class soon with a bunch of four stars. They'll stop recruiting Maro.

I think Nebby and ISU are the favorites now for Mbow. So if Mbow commits to Neb, it will likely wrap up their OL for the class.

UCLA is getting a new Athletic Director. Chip Kelly is a lame duck. You better believe Maro will hear that from Greg Austin every single time they talk. Doesn't rule them out, but it definitely doesn't make it a great choice.

Arizona State offered. I'm not to afraid of them.

I think ISU is sitting pretty unless the Hoks think they need another linemen.

I want Mbow and Maro!

I am not sure we take both. I think we are only looking to add one more OL
I could be wrong (don't have information on it), but by the shear numbers of guys they are recruiting and still offering, I think we are looking at more than three for the class. Just a hunch.

Looks like a good get. Probably the best commit of the class for Iowa State so far. Has to feel good for Campbell to finally land a recruit that other P5 programs wanted.

If we can land two really good OL.... we better find a way to take them both.

Our OL has been the thing holding us back from attaining great things for years and years. That and special teams.

We need as much competition on the OL as possible.

You are probably right. I would just be weary of committing over 25% of your schollys to 5 positions. Even they are the 2nd-6th most important positions on your team.

You just lost a recruit with a bunch of P5 offers and we just gained one with a bunch of P5 offers

Iowa lost their lowest ranked recruit. Minnesota added a recruit and Texas added two. This is why Iowa went from 6th to 9th Is being ranked #9 better or worse than being ranked #29?
