Iowa Football Recruiting

I'd honestly just ignore the mentally handicapped individual.

Maybe you can take a shot at the question. Can you show any objective power ranking or poll that shows isu would have beaten Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Penn State or USC last season? We already know isu couldn’t beat Iowa. If not then my argument holds, SOS is nothing but a fallacy from clone fans to feel better about only winning 7 games.

So yes or no, is SOS a bogus reason for why isu wins fewer games than Iowa?
Until you stop committing:
A straw man fallacy occurs when someone takes another person's argument or point, distorts it or exaggerates it in some kind of extreme way, and then attacks the extreme distortion, as if that is really the claim the first person is making.
Nobody around here is going to take you serious. Your sos shtick is comical.

Definitely. But the real thing to watch is the level of advantage some programs might get over others. It's up to states when various aspects of life re-open, some states like Georgia, Alabama, Texas, are more likely to allow schools to come back together, including off-season football training, sooner than others. So you might have programs that will have gotten 10 weeks of off-season training and others that only had 6.
Absolutely agree. The real thing to watch is how do conferences align with what individual states do. A good example might be states like Nebraska, Iowa, Ohio open up and teams could potentially practice but what about states that are extremely democratic or won't open up soon (aka Michigan and New Jersey)? Does the Big 10 not allow the other schools to have ANY scheduled team workouts extra to help combat the competitive advantage? Not sure even that would be enough because the student athletes would still be on campus and able to work together. Lots of moving pieces

California state schools won't be going back to school in the fall. What does that do to those programs? This is becoming the nightmare that doesn't stop.
I could be wrong but there is a difference between the Cal State System and the University of Cal system. Cal State schools are the SDSU’s, CSUN and not UCLA or Cal Berkeley.

Where is the distortion? isu isn’t winning any more games with Iowa’s schedule then they did with their own.

I would say Campbell's record against top 25 teams since he arrived in Ames shows he'd be competitive with that schedule.

I don't know that the conferences have the power to tell programs that have been greenlighted by their state leaders to workout that they can't. Even if they can, what will the B1G do if some states have re-opened and others haven't, but all SEC states have re-opened. Would the B1G tell Ohio St. you can't start training yet even though Bama, Georgia, Clemson, LSU can?

So nothing from an objective party that says isu would have won any more games with Iowa’s schedule than they did with their own.

Yea idk if they do either, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them try and pull that type of power move. But like you said, are they gonna tell the conferences best chance for a playoff spot that they can't practice if the state gave them the greenlight? I don't think so. They want that money

I feel like I'm at Yellowstone and need to be told not to feed the bear

and there it is, right where I thought it would be. Clone fan claims straw man fallacy but can’t show where the distortion is in my argument that isu doesn’t win any more games with Iowa’s schedule.

Glad we cleared that up.

You are extremely bad at this.

The logistics of everything is going to be a nightmare. I really don't think a season happens for the most part. I think students and classes absolutely need to be on campus for them to be able to play. Athletics exist because of the university, not the other way around.

A good thread in hawknation football forum.
wait are there actually any people the post there. I looked maybe 6 months ago and it was an absolute embarrassing ghost town. Towards the end of football season no less.

If I could copy/paste the link I would
