Oh my lord, you can’t be serious. That’s CJ Beathard territory. Purdy isn’t in the same stratosphere as Beathard in terms of arm strength.
Yeah, he's a 7 out of 10 for a college QB. The opinion of an internet troll doesn't change that.

Lol, I’m not trolling at all. He has below average arm strength for a P5 QB. He’s a 3.5 or 4 out of 10. The opinion of an Internet homer doesn’t change that. Thinking that he is a 7/10 is complete lunacy.

It is just so hard to know how good Purdy really is since isu has a suspect line and “limited weaponry” according to that 2021 draft article.

You know a lot about Purdy for someone who doesn't watch much of him. You did predict him getting benched last season too because he was going to suck without Butler lol

You really should reach out to the author of that 2021 draft article and set him straight about isu having a suspect line and “limited weaponry”. You can also tell him how Purdy turned down going to Bama so he could “toil in obscurity at isu”.

Your mere existence here is a troll.

No unbiased college football fan would say Brock's arm strength is below average.

Since there are so many 2021 mock draft boards out, someone should easily be able to link us to where someone is saying that Brock has below average arm strength. Should be an easy task.

Purdy had the ball on every 3rd down attempt. It just supports Pro Footballs evaluation that he struggles in pressure situations

I've been saying this for a while now and people act like I kicked their dog. Purdy is a good QB, but he folds in critical moments of big games. That draft profile agrees...

"The other more pressing area of Purdy’s consistency is shrinking in the “big time moments”. When the Cyclones needed Purdy to be at his best last season, Purdy put up eggs. In the final two games of the season — the regular season finale and the Cyclones’ bowl game against Notre Dame — Purdy combined for just over 50% completion percentage, slightly over 400 yards passing, and just 1 touchdown. That’s not good enough for the top of the class, plain and simple."

Again, the kid is good. But he needs to take that next big step.

Someone just linked one a couple pages back.

“Purdy is one of the quarterbacks in the 2021 NFL Draft class who I question if they meet that baseline threshold. Arm strength is something that can be developed as a quarterback ages and progresses, so one should not close the book on this one just yet. However, it is definitely something to watch for as the season moves along. I want to see Purdy consistently put zip on the ball, especially on throws outside the numbers. I don’t think scouts have seen that yet, but they need to in order to feel confident in Purdy.“

“McShay sees plenty of promise in Purdy, even though the quarterback is just 6-foot-1 and has yet to really showcase a lot of arm strength. But McShay said both of those things may not matter since the NFL has started seeing more and more shorter quarterbacks get chances to play.

As for the arm strength, McShay said that can come down the road.

“I think being a little bit more patient in the pocket and then I think the arm strength is very much overrated," McShay said, "but you need to have a certain bar to fit and it would be good to see more consistency throwing the deep ball and those kinds of throws.”

“In The Athletic’s article, one anonymous NFL assistant coach had this to say about Purdy: “I’ve been really impressed with Brock Purdy, and really with that entire program. Every time I’ve watched them, the QB play has been good. Good demeanor. Not a cannon for an arm. I do like how he operates within the offense.”
