Iowa Football Recruiting

I don't really have any inside info on who we might flip, but I think we only wanted 1 of the in-state guys that have committed right? And he was a life long Iowa fan so we probably won't get him.
Why did isu offer Colby, Bowie and Liddle if they didn’t want them? All of those guys are ranked hundreds of positions higher than any of isu’s current commits.

Congratulating your own fan base for not being dicks is a symptom of your fan base traditionally being dicks when a kid decommits.

Not sure isu fans really want to go down that road. Adam Haluska comes to mind. Are you going to try and convince me that was different?

Like I said, I don't have any special inside info. I just have heard they didn't want them after a few conversations.

Cool.

Now explain why isu offered Colby, Liddle and Bowie if they didn’t want them? You said isu only wanted one in-state kid that Iowa got so either isu offers mean nothing or you are wrong about isu not wanting more in-state kids. So which is it?

So it is better for isu to pass on higher ranked kids in order to take lower ranked ones. So glad you cleared that up for me.

I trust CMC. You can trust these recruiting services if that makes you feel better. ISU knows what we want. He's not obsessed with with TOE and doesn't care about taking a kid only because Iowa wanted him. He only wants guys who fit in our system both attitude and talent wise.

Why does CMC have a countdown clock for the Iowa game?

don't know if that's true, but if so I would imagine to try to match the intensity of Iowa coming in. I hear the TOE preps all off season for this 1 game. I KNOW it's the one game most TOE fans care about the most.

Explain the offer thing to me then. I think either 10 or 11 of Iowa's commitments have ISU offers. Do these kids get evaluated, offered, then Campbell changes his mind? He must like something about them and think they have the right attitude and talent at some point right?

That was like 15 years ago. He flipped from an instate school to the other instate school. And how did ISU fans harass him? MySpace?

For as long as Iowa has dominated isu no extra prep time is required. Its just another traveling trophy that spends most of its time in Iowa City.

So taking a high and mighty attitude is a ok as long as we limit the time frame? Say that out loud a few times and see if it still makes sense.

Funny how when this thread started all was perceived as fun and games for clone fans. Now that Iowa is dominating isu once again, clone fans get really salty about it. It makes one wonder why clone fans would go out of their way to make a forum devoted to “poking the bear” and then get pissy when the bear wakes up and smacks them around?
When this thread was started? I thought you just joined in April of this year. How would you know how clone fans acted all the way back in 2016 through now?

It does not mean only those two things. They offered cause they initially wanted them then moved on. Happens all the time. You know, the exact thing you think happened with Brock except Iowa still wanted him in reality

Ferentz does the same thing

I did just join. This isn’t hard all you have to do is read page one. You don’t have to read all posts on all 1,800+ pages to know what clone fans were or are thinking. That’s the beauty of this thread the same things clone fans were writing about 4 years ago keep coming back up. All despite the fact that the Iowa program has been better than isu since this thread started.

Hats off to isu fans for having a forum to “poke the bear” only to get really pissy when the bear wakes up and smacks them around.
