Iowa Football Recruiting

You implied that he had 0 offers left. Like most recruit who waits that long, some schools had filled up for sure. Much like Brock when he finally was ready to decide his Iowa offer was no longer on the table. I guess I'm wondering which schools are you saying pulled the offers and which didn't?
I'm not implying anything. He had no offers including Iowa in December of his senior year. He called to commit over the phone and Ferentz didn't even accept it lol

No need to humor him. He's gone off his rocker with CMC. Twedt crushed their soles.

Just a few days ago he said Nebraska didn't want Johnson. Couldn't be further from the truth. Now he's spinning it in a different direction.

I missed that one, he tried to claim Nebraska didn't want Johnson? LOL man, the Nebraska coaches were making last minute desperate pleas to Johnson to not commit to Iowa.

Lets just say our information doesn't line up then. He must have gotten an Iowa offer in Dec. at sometime as he committed in Dec. to Iowa.

He tried to commit to Ferentz in December on a Sunday and Kirk wouldn't take it. He committed to Iowa later in the week

He committed to Iowa later in the week in Dec. right? So he had a committable offer from Iowa in Dec., right?

Do I really have to walk you through this?

Oh God. Sorry let me rephrase that. At the beginning of December he had no offers including Iowa. Iowa took him for political reasons

Thoughts on 247's top 25? Looks like only 1/3 of Twin's top three are on here, but some interesting pics to say the least. Pruitt at 21? Leach all the way at 25? Patterson is also ridiculously low IMO.

  1. Nick Saban

  2. Dabo Swinney

  3. Ed Orgeron

  4. Kirby Smart

  5. Lincoln Riley

  6. James Franklin

  7. Ryan Day

  8. Dan Mullen

  9. Jimbo Fisher

  10. Brian Kelly

  11. Paul Chryst

  12. Mario Cristobal

  13. Gus Malzahn

  14. Mike Gundy

  15. Mark Stoops

  16. P. J. Fleck

  17. Scott Satterfield

  18. Jim Harbaugh

  19. Kirk Ferentz

  20. David Shaw

  21. Jeremy Pruitt

  22. Pat Fitzgerald

So you knew the status of all his offers? I can't really trust your "sources" as you claim that Brock still had an Iowa offer, when I know he didn't. You also said Nebraska didn't want Johnson. First you don't have any sources and second I know you have no clue what the status of Waggoners offers were at the beginning of Dec.

They are struggling at QB for sure. They missed out on their top targets and now only have 1 offer out and that is to 4* Donaven McCulley a kid out of Indy. Pretty sure he is gonna go to Purdy though.

I am surprised any decent QB would be looking at Purdue. I thought Plummer looked like a guy who will have that spot locked up for the next 3 years.

Did KF tell you this on one of your daily calls to review iowa’s recruiting board or was this a result of one of your “friends of the family” discussions?

4 Big10 West coaches, 7 Big10 coaches overall and 3 Big12 coach, this list seems spot on really.

I could understand why QB's and WR want to play for Brohm, he has got a great offensive mind. I know I'll get blasted here for this, but I think Purdue could take a jump this year and go bowling again.

I think they are high on Pruitt, Fleck, Stoops, and Fisher.
I think they are low on Gundy, Shaw, Whittingham.

Agree with most of those, but Patterson? Outside of a few years guy has been rock solid. I think it's almost criminal not to have him in the top 20.

Fleck and Stoops could show they deserve their spots if they can get a good follow up season. Not sure that happens for either though.

Yeah and I overlooked Cristobal there. I think that's really, really high for him.
I think he's turning Oregon back to a typical 10 win team again but but I'd take at least half the coaches after him.
I think Patterson has to be higher but he's got to do something soon.

Kind of weird to not have Les Miles or Mack Brown not on there in all honesty, no matter how old they are.
