Iowa Football Recruiting

11 of 15 Iowa commits had ISU offer, 0 of 12 ISU commits had Iowa offer. That’s a paddling.
In their defense. what are they supposed to say? If we were in the same spot we'd be trying to spin it too. We'd say we were getting the kids we really wanted and KF is incredible at identifying talent. It's not going well for them. First the basketball transfer situation and now this.

That is not a good sign. Look at any good Iowa teams in the past and they absolutely had good Iowa players on those squads. Sure you can't live off Iowa players alone, but getting a Wirfs, Linderbaum, Bowie, Liddel, Brecht, etc. make your team better.
This is also probably the best class of kids Iowa has ever produced as well. Time will tell but at this point it looks like it.

You're getting trolled by one of your own and it's obvious. You're the one who isn't good at any of this

Many theorize that you are also an Iowa fan. That only an Iowa fan could talk and obsess about the Hawks all day long, every day for a decade now. Any truth to those rumors?

As far as rankings go, it is by far the deepest class since they have been doing rankings anyway. You are right, they have to prove it on the field, but basically cleaning up in state has led to Iowa stellar recruiting class.

Probably the same honestly. Both 5-7 or so
Which is telling since Nebraska has 5x the talent KU has. If Nebraska can't field a 7 win team this year he should be fired on the spot.

In a more relevant question, what are your thoughts on the job Kirk's son-in-law is doing this year? Future decommits aside, Barnes is tearing it up, no?

Barnes is one of the ten coaches that can actually recruit?

Such as? I don't think I've ever been called a Hawk fan on here once let alone by many people

You're not the one Ferentz son that didn't play much and doesn't have a big paycheck because of Kirk are you? Mad that he even employed your BIL in the football department?

Keegan Johnson dropping bombs on Nebraska: https://www.omaha.com/sports/high-s...cle_e023b0fb-403c-52f5-afbe-28d14177fe94.html

Keagan got the Husker offer and visited NU several times. Ultimately, he preferred Iowa.

"At the end of the day times have changed. No knock on Nebraska's program but it's not the same as when (Clester) played," Keagan said. "He's always been open-minded, and I am blessed that I can start my own legacy and I don't have to follow his footsteps. He has always preached that to me."

WOW, he is gonna be a fan favorite!

It has be theorized a few times on Rivals that you have to be a Hawk fan. Nobody but a fan could talk as much about Iowa as you do.

Now I don't think this is true myself, but I get what they are saying. It has to be exhausting for you to dedicate that much time and energy to your biggest rival.

You don't think the recruiting coordinator has a role in this awesome class?

Barnes does a great job. Copeland though is who is turning around the WR room at Iowa. Johnson said as much. https://www.omaha.com/sports/high-s...e_e023b0fb-403c-52f5-afbe-28d14177fe94.html#1

Johnson said he has developed a strong relationship with Iowa receivers coach Kelton Copeland, who has been at Iowa since 2016.

"It came down to Coach Copeland, and he has changed the wide receivers at Iowa the last couple of years drastically," said Johnson, who finished his junior season with 52 receptions for 672 yards and eight touchdowns. "I see myself excelling at that program and playing at a high level there."
