Iowa Football Recruiting

Uh, yeah. We will have to wait till the season is over to determine who had the better season.

Great but that wasn’t the question.

The question was what will clone fans use to determine which team is better? I am sure this mega thread will still be around so I’m trying to figure out what the goal posts are now and how that will change/move when the season is over.

So you can’t see why a WR playmaker would be used on rushing or punt/KO returns but you can easily see why Lanning was a better LB because he had TD’s as a QB?

Well ok then.
You proved my point. You refuse to say how scoring a TD on punt return or KO return makes someone a better WR. Because you can't

Seen a lot of chit chat about how amazing ISM is on this thread. This highlight is pretty underwhelming. A lot of busted coverages.

In contrast, He is ISU's FIFTH option in the passing game last year...

Proceeds to link video showing first two touchdowns were busted coverages. The announcer even highlights the busted coverage in the second one. I honestly stopped watching there because the irony was just too much.

LOL, who do you coach for again?

Is he good? Ya. Is he fast? ya. He ain't all that though.

He'll get drafted next year in the 6th round because of the name on the front of the jersey.

Is this serious? I mean you say he "ain't all that" but he will be drafted because of the Iowa name. 1) that is great that Iowa can get undeserving players draft. 2) Maybe Allen Lazard should have gone to Iowa so that his "underwhelming" college career would have gotten him drafted. The ISU name on the jersey and CMC couldn't get ISU best WR ever draft.

This. 2017 we ended up better but they don't even realize it because they won their big game

What is very apparent is that clone fans often come to conclusions after the fact and usually want to cherry pick certain polls or data to in order to support their claims. They not only do this but they then refuse to acknowledge anything contrary to their claim. I have a feeling 2017 is a prime example of that. If not I’m sure a clone fan will set me straight.

If there is one thing we can all agree on, is that NFL GM's are lining up to waste draft picks on Iowa Wide Receivers. It's like a yearly thing.

Ehh, Hakeem Butler his final year was ISU’s best ever WR... he was drafted.

What is this take?

Buddy boy, take a seat.

Genuinely curious what you think you see in that video that is more impressive than Smith-Marsette’s. That entire video is Milton catching wide open passes due to busted (or just general bad Big XII) defenses.

I see a faster, more talented receiver than anybody on Iowa's roster.

Y'all don't read.

I said ISM is good. However, I am wondering why you guys think this guy is holier than thou. His highlights is a lot of busted coverages and running through wide open gaps on sweeps.

I then showed you Tarique Milton, ISU's FIFTH receiving option from last year, to compare. Both have similar speed and the ability to get open. Very similar ability to produce last year. But as I said, Milton was our FIFTH option.

He'll be the third option in the passing game this year... watch out...

I mean... he will definitely be option 1 or 2.

What planet do you live on? Milton was ISU 3rd WR, and ISU almost always played 3 WR.
