Forgot about Roy Marble. That was awkward.

Even Scott D. had an easy time naming 5-6 blunders from Barta's tenure. But Iowa fans tell us Iowa is good at marketing and PR.

Here's what Pollard is sending to concerned Cyclone fans (Again, thanks to Keith Murphy):

Certainly we share your frustration, disappointment and even anger about the transfers in our men's and now even our women's basketball programs (women have now lost all four of their recruits from last year despite having Elite 8 and Sweet 16 teams). I can assure you both Coach McDermott and Coach Fennelly are concerned and trying to figure out how best to combat it. Part of Coach McDermott having two coaching vacancies is a direct result of his wanting to try and address the issue.

However, it also helps to keep our transfers in perspective. My peers and I continually discuss the epidemic around the country in the sport of basketball. In the past two years over 500 men's basketball players have transferred from a Division I team to another program. That number is absolutely amazing. Unfortunately if a kid's world is not absolutely perfect (in their mind), they run from the problem rather than deal with it. Makes you wonder if it is the first signs of our society's change in our early education program (no longer give kids grades - everybody passes; can't keep score, everybody has to win; if you do not like something, have mom or dad complain on your behalf). Personally I wonder how that generation is going to survive in the real world when mom or dad or AAU coach are not there for them during their first job interview or first job evaluation. The bottom line is life is not a video game, you can't just hit reset if you do not like your initial score.

Here are several links that clearly help put our transfers in perspective. Doesn't solve the issue but perspective on this issue is important.

1. Where in my post did I bring up Jamie Pollard?

2. The amount of PR (whatever you want to call it) issues between Barta and Pollard isn't even on the same planet.

3. Pollard has factual evidence of his remarks about the Big 12 officiating. Probably shouldn't have said it, but he stuck up for his school.

4. The HS game was blown way out of proportion. A referee made a call, and Pollard said to the guy sitting next to him that it wasn't a good call. Never yelled/directed anger towards the ref. Not his fault the ref had thinned skin. Beyond that he didn't even fight or lose his temper when being asked to leave. I coach AAU basketball at the 2nd grade level and have already seen much worse.

I don’t see Iowa fans getting worked up if someone else uses the term “historic”. If there is such a thread then it is as bad as this one.

So they don’t get worked up over the word Historic but they own the color black. Got it.

It does to the tune of $6.1 million there cowboy! Barta must have a lot of closets for keeping skeletons in. You are horrible at trolling. Great read on this though.

Pollard has "factual evidence" that the Big12 and the Big12 officials were involved in fixing games and keeping ISU from winning?

Yeah, lots of fans are thrown out because they tell a guy next to them that it wasn't a good call.

Can you make any worse excuses for the guy? I personally won't defend or make excuses for all of Barta's blunders.
