Well he averaged 5.3 yards per carry against Michigan, Penn State, Wisconsin, Northwestern, and Minnesota, so I would say Goodson did fairly well against good defenses.

Hall faced 3 top 35 defenses and averaged 3 YPC vs them.

The old bad defense in the Big 12, bad offense in the Big Ten argument.

It’s always going to be somewhere in the middle.

Remember last year when Texas hung 38 points on LSU, but Clemson could only muster 25 pts on them? Seems there might be something to Big 12 offenses being pretty good.
But of course that same Texas team that put up 38 on LSU, could only score 23 pts on ISU.

Man, I love the B12 defense talk. Last year the reigning B1G West champs were the worst offensive power team the Country has seen in decades.

Kind of funny how that never gets talked about by Iowa fans.

So since he averaged 4.8 on the season you are telling me he is less efficient versus bad defenses. So according to you it’s lucky he didn’t play Hall’s schedule.

The only good defenses Iowa State faced last year were Iowa, TCU, Baylor, Kansas State, and Notre Dame. Hall averaged 3.1 yards per carry against those teams.
I know you think this somehow discounts Hall's skill but this actually makes him look better. Crazy he even averaged that much against elite defenses with a below average at best OL.

You're right Iowa's players would do better vs a top 5 schedule instead of their 30th ranked schedule. You are so bad at this it isn't even fun. You try way too hard
Lol ISU plays in the weakest P5 conference. ISU would finish worse then Illinois if they played in the B1G. Lol stop
