Why would you think this? Because of last season? I think Brian would continue to utilize the TE position just as the Hawks have. Losing your top 2 to the draft and having experienced WRs was why they leaned on them last year.

Why do I think Brian will be HC after Kirk leaves? I think it's obvious especially in a program that emphasizes nepotism

Brian will be coach after Kirk. But maybe with the downtime Kirk is seeing maybe he doesn't want to retire as soon as he thought.

You are OK with with bringing in a coach with no HC experience, who isn't even considered good as an coordinator with anger issues when you know you could get someone way more qualified?

That would hurt Iowa. Wind and cold make being a spread team in the Big Ten a dicey situation. Better to limit risk by being able to run the b-ball with TE’s on the edge who can also stretch the field in the passing game like Fant, Kittle and TJ.

heck ya. He is probably already giving final approvals on recruits since he will be coach before they are through school.

Fine, Iowa has a lot more “proven” production.

Iowa State’s group will still be every bit as good as Iowa’s.
