Iowa Football Recruiting

Great. I will take the returning TD production of Iowa’s WR’s over anything isu brings back.
They have a bit more proven production.

Iowa has a solid bunch returning, but I still ultimately think Milton, Shaw & Hutchison will be a better group. A ton of other young talent in ISU’s WR group as well.

I still think isu would be better served to go more power based and heavy TE offense and way from 3-4 WR spread. Gives you a prep advantage that can be even greater when it is windy and or cold.

ISU has frequently had 2 or 3 TE’s on the field at once.

That is good. I find that when Iowa goes to this more the more consistent the results tend to be. Last year while they won 10 games I don’t see Iowa using the WR’s as much as they did being sustainable. They needed additional TE talent and it appears they went out and got it. The newcomers will have this year to acclimate and then next year can get back to Iowa’s tradition of being mostly a 22 formation with 2 TE and 2 Backs.

Brecht and Johnson commit either tomorrow or over the weekend. I'm really curious to see if Iowa also takes Bell. He tweeted a few days ago he was gonna commit on May 20th. I'm sure the Hawk coaches know what his decision is and I'm fascinated to know if he was still a take putting Iowa at 4 WR for this class.

When did Johnson commit?

I don’t see KF straying too far away from what has made them successful, so I’d guess you are right.

We’re out on Morris.

With Michaud on board already and where they sit with Noel, I imagine they wait and see if a medium height straight line speed guy in the mold of Porter or Wilson emerges. Morris would just be doubling up on a role they already have filled.

It all makes perfect sense. CyTwins posts day and night on CF attempting to generate enough advertising revenue to pay for his premium account on HR.

Hope he can keep up with the new environment.
psssst. We don't get paid to post here.

I don't blame you for not wanting to be him right now either. Do you know a "family member" of Twins that can give us the "inside scoop" on him though?

Iowa has “a bit more” proven production at WR? That would be like saying Iowa State has “a bit more” proven production at TE. Bit of an understatement, do you think?

You don't have a WR returning with more yards than Milton and more receiving TDs than Shaw...

If KF retires and BF takes over I can see him going to more WR utilization which as you said I think would hurt Iowa
