You realize the Big 12 offense is way better than the Big Ten and we have only two teams compared to three. So yeah it's significantly harder to get on a Big 12 All Conference team, especially on offense
Laporta would have been the 2nd team All conference TE in the Big 12. Allen had 17 catches for 167 yards and played all season long. Laporta was a true Fr., played in only 6 games and had 15 catches for 188 yards. The Big12 is hot garbage for TE, heck 1/2 the teams basically don't even use one. Being an All Conference Big12 TE literally means nothing. Kolar is good, Allen would be a backup to Laporta this year at Iowa, Seohner wouldn't see the field at Iowa this year, HM all big12 LOLOLOL, that speaks to how bad the Big12 is at TE.
The Big12 is a joke for TE play. Most schools don't even use one. Laporta would have been 2nd team All Big12 as a true Fr. if he played in the Big12.
Hopkins had 61 catches and 830 yards. Freiermuth had 43 for 507 yards. Hendershot had 52 catches for 622 yards. Kolar would have been honorable mention All Big10.

I mean I said Iowa would have a better TE group than Iowa State this year. A wrong prediction isn't as bad as not knowing anything about your own team IMO

He played a few snaps a game early as he was a true Freshman. . Took over most of Wieting's snaps because of an injury to Wieting, for the Northwestern and Wisconsin games and didn't give up his snaps after that. Basically played the last 6 games, not many snaps in the first 6 games.
Thanks for playing though. Chase Allen would be a buried on the Hawks depth chart, he just isn't very good, and being 2nd Team All Big12 is like being the 20th best TE in the Big10 and 3rd best TE on the Hawks.
