Iowa Football Recruiting

Skyler Bell announcing May 20th. Where do you think he ends up? This is shaping up to be an amazing class. Fidone would be the cherry on top. However, I think you are correct.
No clue on Bell. If all the smoke about Johnson and Brecht is true, I'm not certain we'd take another WR if he's waiting that long.

Definitely Jeff reninga.

have your kids even reached out to you to see if you were ok, or needed anything? Or, have they still washed their hands of you?

Is this the same Jeff that sent JP4Cy into such a tizzy? Man he really did a number on you guys.

Iowa should never turn down a receiver...like ever. Woof.
You're right. Seem to be in on some talent this year. Good chance one doesn't pan out, one transfers due to playing time, etc. Probably would be a good year to get what we can.

Probably your most insightful post, I like it.

We know we would beat Iowa if we had neutral refs and normal weather conditions.

You are right the field at Trice is hot garbage. You would think since it’s isu’s it would have given isu an advantage. The Big Ten officials were bad. How they didn’t call PI on the pass to Beyer on 1st down before the game winning FG was horrible. That would have taken another 2 mins off the clock and probably resulted in Stanley running over the top of Lima for another TD. Luckily Iowa found a way to fight through it and not fold like a cheap tent.

I hope you teach your kids (if you have any) better than this. Always someone/something to blame but yourself.
I tell my kids we didn't win that game because we turned the ball over, and didn't get the big stops we needed. We need to learn from it and get better.

But on here I will point out missed holding calls on crucial plays, a totally fake holding call, and the fact that everything had to go just right for you, from the field conditions, to the delays for you to squeak out a victory.

Wow you really do live in a fantasy land. I love our natural grass, but it's not ideal when there is a monsoon. Our biggest advantage over you is always speed. We would run circles around you on a dry field. We lost that advantage, but I admit, that's the price we pay for deciding to have a that type of playing surface. Doesn't hurt us in the games that matter, just a meaningless preseason game against a bunch of wannabes.

Why does ISM torch isu year after year if speed is Iowa’s issue?

This part is correct. Good job.

I actually think we would beat Minnesota. We'd match up well with them
I thought Wisconsin was terribly overrated as well but it depends on where we played them and what the conditions were like. I feel like we would have too much speed for them in normal conditions.

Lol you lost. Accept it and move on to the next game. You shouldn’t make excuses when you lose. CMC should have them ready to go no matter the circumstances. Iowa overcame bad refs in 2 games and won. Nebraska and USC.
