Interview with Mike Taylor on ESPN.com

Man that's exciting. What a difference he could have made at Iowa State, but he might have never grown up to have the chances he has now.

Good for Mike. Glad to see him playing well. Wish he would have straightened up when he was here.

As long as he keeps out of problems in the NBA, I will support MT. If he starts doing dumb crap once he gets some significant cash flow, I reserve the right to change my opinion.

For now...kudos to MT for the hard work to get where he is.

I'm not sure he'd be where he is now without coach Mac giving him the kick in the butt he needed to get his life together. Glad in the end things worked out for him.

I'm very happy for Mike Taylor. My question is "How does he go from Turnover Taylor to a starting PG in the NBA?" He turned the ball over more than anyone I've ever watched! I guess the NBA is made for that type of player, but wow!

My guess is he's not the only good player on his team now, so he's not asked to do everything, and he's not trying to force plays.

It's amazing that he's the lone Clone in the NBA right now since Indiana is paying Tinsley to do nothing. Who would have thought Taylor would start an NBA game and not Stinson or Blalock.

What is the deal with Tinsley? Nobody will even take him on a trade?

Well guys, Mike Taylor was playing at NBA speed while in college. Everyone else was slower. He was a good match for mario Chamler types.

Stats do not exist in a vacuum! There is a reason he had high TO #'s on that Cyclone team. He was our ball handler, scorer, distributor, etc. All in his first year out of JC.

Probably should say that he's earned that bad rap. Why would someone take a chance on a guy like that at this point? You know what you're going to get, and it's mostly trouble.

A guy like that? He didn't exactly kill anybody. He stole some Nyquil and shot off a fire extinguisher. Oh the humanity! He has surely already paid his penance for those slight crimes, you expect him to never be able to continue on with his career because of two very slight crimes which probably resulted in $200 fines?

I think he's talking about Tinsley, and yes, his bad rap is mostly deserved.

Just goes to show Greg McD knows talent. Also, Stinson & Blaylock never took the opportunity to get some good coaching from McD.
