Iowa Football Recruiting

It's fairly evident that you don't take the PFF grade from a QB in the Mountain West and compare to a score against a QB in the SEC.

Timmy Chang would be comparable to Trevor Lawrence or Tua.

PFF is very limited in that respect.

Great at portraying game performances in conference but nearly useless as prospect evaluation.

But even you would admit with Peavy the score wouldn't be skewed considering the offenses in the Big 12 compared to a conference like the Big Ten

Honestly I'm not sure why you laughed at Peavy being a first team All American

Here's an example of how biased and stupid these lists are here. Take a look at Crookedhatkid from last year. A case study in lmfao.

No ISM who's a 2021 Big Board top 100 prospect
No Linderbaum, another Big Board prospect
No All American kicker
No 3rd round pick Ojemudia

4 NFL level guys left out in favor of ISU clowns who'll be lucky to sniff a practice squad.

Wow, thanks for digging this up. Overall not that bad. Clearly I blew it with Sargent who now we know isn’t good. Gave Smith too much credit, should have had more faith in Jones. Linderbaum could replace Jackson or Newell who missed a lot of games with injury (no way to call that). Same with Bailey, should have been McDonald. Ojemudia and Hankins were a coin flip then so I just guess wrong. As far as kicker, who cares. I am not gonna lie, overall this wasn’t too bad for before the year. Also calling Keith Duncan “NFL level” is just sad.

PS- Bickham is a real facepalm lol

What's that from? That new Netflix movie?

Do you actually believe that Peavy is better than any of the Iowa CB draft picks, King, Jackson and Ojemudia?

King and Jackson were first team All Americans too so no he was not better than them but yeah Peavy was a better college player than Ojemudia. Ojemudia obviously a better pro prospect

oh god you’re an idiot.

how pathetically insecure are you?
Me insecure? No l, I’m not the one stalking accounts. Insecurity is when you go to the “ how many accounts have you had here” card instead of defending your argument.

Twins also said last year that ISU would have the best front 7 we'd face but I remember playing these fronts with these 2020 NFL picks.

Penn State: Gross-Matos, Windsor, Brown
Michigan: Dana, Hudson, Uche
Minnesota: Martin, Coughlin

I missed all the Iowa State front 7 NFL selections.

Lima was a stud. They’re going to miss him next year.

This is kind of a dumb comparison because we return a bunch of guys and also that is weird Twins said front 7 when we don’t even play a front 7.

Yeah returning Enyi, Bailey, Petersen, Rose and Vance is huge. Bringing in the 3rd best JUCO DT in the country doesn't hurt either but with no Spring ball the adjustment will be tough for him

Nebraska had two DT's drafted as well.

I'll take Goodson over Hall. In any event it likely matters little. Been down that road with DJK and would prefer not to intentionally repeat it with Eno.

Iowa had back to back final ranked seasons because of team cohesion. I've seen too many teams blow up. Randy Moss had a ridiculous amount of TDs with Brady and a good coach in Belichik elected to move him out.

I don't think many Iowa fans are complaining about 3 final top 25 seasons in the last 5 years. ISU may get one again eventually.

He is not really worth the time arguing with. Never mind Eno, that was what it was and the coaches most responsible for that are long gone for a reason. The "fact" of the matter is, and Mr. Phony knows it very well, if Iowa had the space and the need for 3 running backs that recruiting cycle, Goodson, Hall, and Brock would all be wearing black n gold right now. Obviously you don't take 3 RB a year typically. Iowa chose who they wanted and let the other two know they were full at that point in time. ISU got two really good backs out of the deal and should be happy about that. A few things took a turn late and Iowa likely would have gone back after Hall or Brock but obviously things had soured by then (understandably so). Iowa grabbed a juco back who is not great but serviceable and the rest is history. Why is this still being brought up constantly. Both teams benefited from the situation and who got the better deal is TBD. Is it really that hard?

What's dumb is leaving Linderbaum, ISM, Ojemudia and Duncan off your last best in state list.

We heard how great Lima and Spears were last year and neither got drafted.

Who from your '19/20 season starting DL/LB unit will be drafted? Maybe Rose?

I wouldn't put that defensive front on the same map as Michigan, Penn State, Minnesota or Wisconsin from last season.

You do understand that the idea is to make the best college team right? And ISU did better defensively against common opponents than all but Michigan on that list.
