Iowa Football Recruiting

Schools can't publicly talk about recruits Jeff
Then how in the hell do you know? You’re an embarrassment to the ISU fan base. Like I said before, it used to be entertaining reading your troll posts. But now you just lie and make crap up. You’ve lost your touch.

Pretty soon they'll start trolling that ISU recruits really did have Iowa 'phantom' offers even though they're not showing up anywhere.

Can you just imagine the different narrative that we would be hearing right now if the roles were reversed in recruiting so far this year? Lol! Would be a complete 180 from the garbage you are hearing now. How many times have you heard “phony” call out a lack of power five offers as a failure in recruiting. All of the sudden that is no longer a concern. Wonder why the change of heart? Will give some credit for one thing. The bag full of excuses and BS is rivaled by no other. It has been a really rough couple years and this recruiting cycle is proving really hard to handle. I get it though, with the exception of one recruit (who seems legit to be excited about) the ISU class looks very shaky. I guess the downside of blindly throwing out offers to hundreds of high school football players simply because they have a pulse is that the ones that don’t have anything better than an Iowa State offer will jump on it before the better prospects take those spots up. Look back at some of Paul Rhoads classes. Scary similar so far....

Goodson "committed" to Iowa that early, but Iowa held off on accepting it. Once Iowa knew they weren't getting Brock or Hall, then they made Goodson's offer committable and accepted him.

Now, having said that, Iowa did get a good back in Goodson IMO. I'd rather have Hall for sure though... and too early to tell on Brock yet.

Lmfao, Brock is on record saying that Iowa dropped him at RB because they were pursuing Goodson. It's cute the lengths you will go to fabricate stories.

"I was talking to (Iowa tight ends coach LeVar) Woods, who is the recruiting coordinator for this area. He told me they really wanted me, but they had to take the commitment from the kid from Georgia," Brock said. "He said he didn't know they were taking a junior college back. I think the new running backs coach (Derrick Foster) was more high on the guy from Georgia, and I was kind of Coach Woods' guy.

"They still wanted me to come there, but they didn't want me to be in the same position."

That might be one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Do you REALLY think that they are "blindly" throwing out offers to hundreds of kids just because they have a pulse? I mean, I have relatives that happen to be decent HS FB players and they haven't got an ISU offer. I find it really funny that KF built the iowa program on good evaluation and development...finding 2 star players like Bob Sanders and Chad Greenway. But, no one else could possibly do that, right? I mean, it's not like they found a guy with no other P5 offers that ended up being the starting RB for the Chicago Bears.

While Kirk certainly has a knack for discovering hidden talent, it's not like they exclusively built their teams on it.

Drew Tate, Mike Jones, Albert Young, Matt Roth, Edmond Miles, Anthony Moeaki, Dace Richardson, Rafael Eubanks, Adrian Clayborn and Jeremiha Hunter were all 4 star contibuters to earlier teams. And that was in a time you didn't have the star inflation you do today.

Let me guess, you used to just lurk but just created your first account? Lol

I literally did that because you hawk trolls do it for ANYONE that isu gets over Iowa. You’re an idiot

Twins seems to have taken you seriously.

There are times that offers get pulled, it isn't a big deal. Twedt got his pulled, Brock got his pulled. When spots fill up, things change for all teams in recruiting. That doesn't mean at one time Iowa didn't want Brock, or that Twedt didn't want ISU.

Twedt did have his offer pulled. Is Tyler Maro on Iowa's radar?

I know Twedt effectively had his offer pulled, I've said it numerous times. I'm not all offended by that fact like ISU fans are by the fact Brock got his offer pulled as well.

I doubt very much Iowa offers Maro, as a matter of fact I'd be shocked. Iowa is still after Myslinski who has offers from Florida St., MSU, Texas, and Oregon. They also want Joe Alt. I'm not sure if they take both Myslinski and Alt, but those are the only two lineman left on Iowa's board right now.

An Iowa fan just posted a link that Iowa still wanted Brock after Goodson committed. Lol nice try

And an ISU fan just posted the complete story about Twedt, and how the ISU coaches still would have taken/kept his commitment.
