Iowa Football Recruiting

Goodson "committed" to Iowa that early, but Iowa held off on accepting it. Once Iowa knew they weren't getting Brock or Hall, then they made Goodson's offer committable and accepted him.

Now, having said that, Iowa did get a good back in Goodson IMO. I'd rather have Hall for sure though... and too early to tell on Brock yet.

Ya know it used to be kind of fun around here, now it is just sad. Twins has made lying and making up stories the norm. Now Davidkov offers weren't commitable, Iowa wanted Brock and Hall even though they took Goodson first and 0 P5 offer commits are the best!

I didn't say anything about David x2 besides I think he'll flip. Obviously Iowa wanted Hall and Brock

Remember when you said Nate Stanley was better than Patrick Mahomes?

I did? I said QB’s and Coaches are evaluated based on the wins they deliver.
Now can you show me where the schools are saying what offers count and which ones don’t?

Why would he flip? What is going to be on the table for him that isn’t there right now? What exactly do you know for sure sitting here today that backs up he will flip?

Let me guess you didn’t think Jacobs would flip from Iowa to OSU when they came in late with an offer? I would love to see you back that up.

The fact that Iowa hasn’t offered the Maro kid in their own back yard is a little concerning to me. This another Sean Foster situation?

This is another Foster situation for sure. Iowa went out and evaluated Bonifas, Maro and Alt in December. Alt is the only one who came away with an offer.

Bonifas and Davidkov are the exact same in rankings, I mean CyTwins says just look at the tape they are the same. Man the NFL is really wasting their time money employing scouts when all they really need is for CyTwins to tell them who is great and who isn’t.
Try this out CyTwins, let us know when the NFL hires you to be a talent evaluator.

Pretty soon they'll start trolling that ISU recruits really did have Iowa 'phantom' offers even though they're not showing up anywhere.

Will be interesting to see how much Maro blows up. I see he has a 3.99 GPA and a 31 ACT, so I would assume a top notch education is important to him. I imagine if Notre Dame, Stanford, Michigan, etc. come calling, that would be pretty tough to turn down. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Michigan come after him now that they missed on Davidkov.

Twins and Southern are trolling about Davidkov's offers. I don't know why people engage them when they're clearly trolling.

I get the trolling part. Wasn’t going there. If recruit xyz gets an offer on Tuesday does it say "not committable" on the paper? Is there some kind of code word listed? If he says Tuesday night "I’m in coach" does the coach tell him then?

I’ve never seen an article about a recruit in which one said, I have an offer but it really isn’t an offer. I have certainly seen them pulled, almost always because the class or position filled.

You can have a 4.0 and still go to Iowa or ISU.
I'd imagine Nate got good grades if his Wonderlich was that high, most people know how good of a student Kolar is.

Lol IF Michigan decides they have room for and want Davidkov, they will get him. Especially after Iowa goes 5-7 next season.

Obviously, it all depends on what his priorities are. Iowa and Iowa State are good schools, and there are surely a number of really impressive student athletes at each school. But Notre Dame, Michigan, or Stanford is pretty much the best of both worlds - elite academics, really good football teams, and great NFL developmental programs, particularly at OL.

I have heard Maro is a big Iowa fan, so if Iowa offers soon I think they’d have as good a chance as anybody. I just don’t know if Iowa has the room right now.

Yes, we all know your love of prestigious schools.
