Iowa Football Recruiting

If visits open up soon Iowa could be in trouble. There no visit policy isn't hurting them now

Nothing really surprises me in recruiting. It is nice to get verbal commits and even nicer to get signed commits. Hay won't be in the barn until after they sign. I'm sure Iowa will have a few decommits like they do every year as well as every other school has.

I mean who wouldn't want chance to finish 3rd, or maybe even 2nd during the great years in the BIG TEN WEST!! Super exciting.

Also feel bad for my fellow Hawks here expecting a Davidkov commitment. I like their fire, but just can't see Iowa beating out bluebloods like Ohio State and Michigan multiple times in a single recruiting class. That would be pretty insane.

Not sure the Goodson stuff. No accolades, wasn't highly recruited, average runner at best and bad as a pass catcher

How is this funny @Brodie0? He wasn't even HM All Conference, only averaged 5.1 yards per touch (while playing with an NFL QB, behind a loaded OL and a weak schedule) and only had 5 TDS

If you compare his body of work to what Hall did vs a much tougher schedule and a worse OL it's not even close. Hall was a First Team Freshman All American and second team All Big 12. Goodson was literally nothing

Average at best runner? Why don’t we ask Greg Eisworth what he thinks of Goodson’s abilities as a runner?

The numbers speak for themselves. 4.8 ypc with that OL/schedule and only 5.1 yards per touch. I'm not saying he sucks because he walked into a dream scenario and really wasn't very productive

Goodson had to run vs real defenses, Hall got to face pretend Big12 defenses. Is that how it works?

48 yards per carry, and you claim he wasn’t very productive? Yikes.

In all seriousness, he averaged the same yards per carry as Breece Hall despite playing teams that actually play defense. Not going to go back and forth for 5 pages about how Iowa State’s strength of schedule was higher, but Iowa played way better defenses, then what does that say about the offenses Iowa faced, blah, blah, blah. You’re trolling. You know you’re trolling. I know you’re trolling. Everyone here knows you’re trolling. Just cut the schtick.
