Iowa Football Recruiting

Joshua Bailey had offers

You don't think Vance, Newell, Soehner and King are hits? Lol!

Sorry you are right about one thing, Vance is a hit.

Joshua Bailey didn't have any P5 offers, unless you say Temple or S. Florida, and UCF are P5 schools.

I can't believe how obsessed Iowa fans are with CMC recruiting classes. Always amazes me. I have no idea who Iowa has gotten commitments from, and don't care.

Yet you come to an Iowa State site to defend them. You're proving my point
Defend them? nope. Stating a fact. They are better than you right now. They are winning more, recruiting better, and putting kids in the NFL. Hawks might even lose to them next season.

Not obsessed, more shocked how badly he is recruiting this year. He did so much better recruiting the previous years, and you'd think now he could sell actually winning to kids that the recruiting would just continue to get better. Instead this year is starting poorly recruiting wise for him.

Fleck recruiting is scary good, and I hate it. He is killing CMC on the recruiting trail, that is for sure, and many of his commits had ISU offers.

You sound obsessed to me. Like I said, I can't name one kid that has committed to Iowa. I have no idea if they are doing well or not, and honestly don't care.

Wait... I guess I do know one kid.... the one that stole stuff out of ISU's locker room on his visit to ISU. Can't remember his name though? He'll fit in well in IC.

Bailey had a Kansas offer for sure and Tennessee offered on signing day IIRC

Ok, 14 misses in '16 and '17. Either way, the point stands, and I'm not even saying anything controversial here. The hit rate on kids with 0 other P5 offers is a very low %, ever for guys who hit often on kids like that. If you bring in nearly 20 kids over 2 years with 0 P5 offers and all you are getting out of that is a Rose, Vance, and a couple other mediocre guys that isn't good.

But you're not making sense because there is still plenty of time for offers to come in

Are you not concerned even a little bit that many kids are not ranked at all on the national scale. This seems atypical of Campbell's previous classes. I am reserving judgement as coach has earned it.

I mean our 3 starting LBs this year had zero P5 offers. For me it's more position dependent. Obviously at a position like LB he can do whatever he wants and I'll trust him

That's exactly what you're doing. They played one of the biggest jokes of a schedule I've ever seen last year of course they won more
Clones played a tougher schedule than a lot of teams that were better than them last season. Playing a tough schedule and losing doesn't make you good. It's a stupid argument. In the end, the only thing people remember are the records and the rankings. If you want to go ahead and tell your grandchildren about the amazing 2019 football team that went 7-6 but........played the 5th toughest schedule according to Jeff Sagarin, go right ahead. I'm sure they'll be mesmerized.

CMC really needs to win one of these decent bowl games he gets us to IMO. Win the Alamo Bowl, and kids might hear about Iowa State. And then follow that up by beating ND in the Camping World Bowl, and nearly everyone in the country would know about Iowa State.

But losing them doesn't do a whole lot of good. Nobody hears about the losers.

Getting to these bowls is a great first step, but now we need to win some of them to get the attention of the best recruits in the country.

Gawd, I bet your grandkids will love hearing about your time on Cyclone Fanatic being a Hok troll.

But you were wrong, because Oladokun also had offers from North Carolina, Duke, and Indiana. That’s why I added them to his total. It’s not my fault you didn’t know that he had additional offers - you were still wrong.
No he doesn’t lol. Explain why they aren’t on 247 then? Cause we’ve been told by MULTIPLE hawk fans on here that if it’s not on 247 it doesn’t count

I think the bowl season can get lost sometimes, I think striving to be a consistent top 25 threat like Okie State or Kansas State would be huge.

The fact you won't admit Minnesota's schedule was an absolute joke is proving my point
