So just thinking about this and I haven’t done the research.... yeah year over year they get a lot more drafted but with that being said if they have so much more talent why doesn’t that show up in their season records and winning major bowl games and being a contender for they national championships ..... and over let’s say the course of the last 12-15 years how many Hawkeye players make rosters and actually have decent careers in the nfl vs how many cyclones that make rosters and also have decent careers . I’m sure some of you guys that are far better than me in looking into this can get better numbers and names of this stuff.

Odd post but for one of the programs you can almost create a pretty good complete team on madden made of only their graduates and the other you cannot. I'll let you guess which program is which.

Their teams are usually really fundamentally sound and that generally translates well to the NFL. Without looking I'd guess their linemen on both sides, which are usually their strengths, have had the longest careers.

If anything it shows that many of the blue bloods do less with more. Ohio State should never get blown out and it's a travesty that OU's defense is so bad year in and year out.

Iowa has put more kids into NFL than all but like 4-5 teams..

And yet have they ever won the BIG?

KF has avg of 7.5 wins a year over his tenure..

He's also averaged a top-15 finish every 3-4 years, and a top-25 finish every 2-3 years.

This says everything you need to know about KF's coaching ability.

They are good at developing kids physically, but lack greatly in the X's and O's department.

Finishing ranked in the top-15 every 3-4 years and the top-25 every 2-3 years = poor coaching ability?

Interesting take.

I love how we're supposed to kiss their ass. There are plenty of other programs that are better.

Honestly we are still young from when Campbell got here. I would expect we will get more draft picks as Campbell’s guys graduate. I also think that Big 12 players just aren’t as prone to being drafted due to the style of play.

This -> Finishing ranked in the top-15 every 3-4 years and the top-25 every 2-3 years

doesn’t match w/ this -> Iowa has put more kids into NFL than all but like 4-5 teams.

Seems like that many NFL picks is blue blood level and would translate into conference championships and a natty or two.

I don't know who offered up that stat, wasn't me and don't vouch for them.
