Iowa Football Recruiting

Last 5 years yes. But under Ferentz, Iowa's average is a 7-5 to 8-4 season. Not crappying on it, just saying the truth is all.

Ok I get confused because when hoks talk about all of his top-10 finishes and coach of the year awards the response is most of that is ancient history and isn't relevant today.

He inherited a team from the greatest coach in school history with multiple NFL guys on the roster. It's not like he replaced Paul Rhoads

Quite the revisionist history.

Most of those NFL guys were redshirts or freshmen.

He had a total of only 3 NFL picks in the first 2 seasons and the QB was Scott Mullen.

I love all of the excuses you make for your mediocre program, and mediocre coach, playing in a below mediocre conference. Whatever helps you sleep at night. At least we can admit we were terrible at football before CMC got here. Now the future is bright for us, and you guys have the exact same thing to look forward to, boring football.

Oladokun has the same number of P5 offers as Iowa State’s entire 2021 recruiting class combined. Just to clarify, that is Iowa’s lowest rated recruit who has the same number of P5 offers as Iowa State’s entire recruiting class. That’s an interesting stat.
You guys bought into Benji? Yikes.

It's been boring finishing in the final AP top 15 six times. Let me know when you get your first top 25 finish under Campbell.

Take it for what it's worth, but Tyler Moore didn't tag any ISU writers in his "decision soon" tweet. Even though he doesn't have an offer, I fully expect him to land at Iowa if they offer at any point.

Actually Iowa seems to be widening the gap in recruiting. Right now they have a four point advantage in average recruit rating. If that holds up, then that would be one of the widest gaps they have ever had over ISU.

That is one interesting story. It does happen once in a while at other schools. Just a year or two ago, I read about a kid committing to a school that never offered.

1. It's early
2. CMC is getting the guys he really wants and I trust his eye for talent and what he needs/wants for his program.
3. CMC is a significantly better coach than KF and will produce better teams.

mediocre? say whatever you want but I'm sure you'd love to reach the Hawks level of mediocre.
