Iowa Football Recruiting

Shannon Brooks & Bryce Williams both were starters at one time prior to injuries or due to injuries. Brooks had over 2200 yards rushing for his career.

Also, Purdue’s Tandem of David Bell & Rondale Moore will be one of the best in the country. Purdue’s WR room is absolutely stacked this spring.

David Bell is a stud. Iowa really screwed up not getting him

247 has stated that he's likely due for a rating bump soon.

Other Iowa targets/commits have been increased recently.

Cooper Dejean - 93
Joe Alt - 88
Michael Myslinski - 88

I haven’t followed or watched Iowa HS football in quite some time but that DeJean kid is a heck of an athlete. What is his position in college?

ISU is going to continue playing second fiddle to Iowa for the foreseeable future as far as instate recruiting goes. I'd say it's about a 50/50 split with out of state kids.

He would have been a good get but tough to pluck a kid out of his home state. Purdue is one of those dreary Ag/Engineering type schools but Brohm has done a good job attracting WRs to Purdue. They just don’t seem to have a complete roster though.

Safety. He probably has potential at WR too. IMO Iowa should try to get him on the field as a receiver. Defensively he doesn't really fit the Iowa mold IMO. He's not very physical and shy's away from contact.

So how many games does Purdue win? 10? They don't have to play tOSU, PSU, or MSU.

Probably similar to last year, maybe a little better. A stacked WR corps doesn’t mean the rest of the team is stacked. They’ll always be dangerous tossing the ball around but 5-7 games seems to be their ceiling. Iowa rarely plays well in West Lafayette, so that could be a toss up too.

All this hype from you and you expect 4 or 5 wins while not even having to play most of the East's best?

Ya'll are really going to stand by that huh? Cause even if that's your hill....you're still wrong
Wadley was good but saying he was better than Montgomery is just an absurd take. I think 95% of Iowa fan would admit that Montgomery was better.

They won 4 games last year. 5-7 wins would be a significant improvemen. Hype? They have good WRs and can toss the ball around but that doesn’t mean they have a great team. Their defense is mediocre at best.

I think they're a bowl team, likely 6 to 7 wins.

They still have a fairly tough schedule with Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

They have several '19-20 other bowl teams in their non conference and conference schedule too in Memphis, Air Force, BC and Indiana.
