Seeing how the hawks are doing their normal circle arguments, when does the raw attendance smack talk start? Aren't we 1-2 hawkeye turns from that?

The thing that makes the Big Ten West so weak is the coaches. Chryst is the best coach by far (which isn't impressive) and then who knows who the second best coach is

Most fans expect their coaches and teams to bring it every week. I think you really belittle your coach and team by suggesting on a given week they show up and give less effort. I would like to hear your players, coaches and ADs take on this. IMO the best players and coaches bring it every week.

The champion of Iowa’s division 2 years ago didn’t win a non-conference game. Yeah I am sure they would have made the Big 12 title game lol.

They don't give less effort, but emotionally they will be more excited for an Oklahoma or Texas than Iowa. The coaches have stated that conference wins are first, so they spend their free time more focused on those 9 games and watching to see tendencies of returning players. They spend extra time in the off season finding ways to win conference games, not so much for non-con.

I don't know why this is so hard for them to understand. Ferentz said beating Iowa State was a "bigger highlight" than beating Ohio State. Campbell doesn't approach the game like that
