Kansas? I don't recall any luck in that game. ISU was up and scored late to put it away. Iowa does that pretty much every conference game and that's not considered lucky. UNI...ISU was lucky that Purdy recovered that fumble, but UNI had no business being in that game. They got gifted that call that gave them the scoop and score. I don't think that it's debatable that ISU had some pretty bad luck overall in 2019.
That's a stupid, tired narrative. Maybe there was some truth to it in the past and even that is debatable. Pat Mahomes just won a super bowl. And he wasn't even the best QB in the conference when he played. The offenses some of those teams had were elite. Defenses weren't great, but they have gotten better. To say defense is optional in the B12 now shows you're an idiot.
BTW, pretty much any team will see production go way down if QB1 gets hurt.
ISU is comparable to Purdue or Illinois talent-wise. Purdue has better WRs though.
Iowa is comparable to Texas Tech talent-wise. Tech has better offensive skill players though
Nice try. Hawks probably would've been in the Big12 title game both of the last 2 seasons.
Iowa was not better than Oklahoma and Baylor last year or Oklahoma and Texas the year before

All trolling aside I believe Iowa State would have been in the Big Ten title game one of the last 2 years if they were in the West. Wisconsin is better than Iowa State but I think we'd beat them in one of the two seasons

I mean we didn't even care about the game this last year and would have won if it wasn't for a phantom holding call so yeah if it was a conference game we actually cared about I don't think it would have been close. Maybe that Sargent kid gets a garbage time TD to cut it to 10-14 points
