The Fran fade

You think Garza > Wadley or are you just talking basketball?

You're talking about the most decorated player the state of Iowa has ever seen. Of course he will use it as motivation for next year.
In no way was I saying Garza wouldn't use this as motivation. I was admiring him getting back into the gym and not moping around about it. It's a testament to him, not a knock.

I can't help but think if only Cam Lard had 1/10 of the attitude and work ethic.....
Hard work beats talent when talent refuses to work hard. You don't have to be the fastest most athletic guy in the gym to be the best. For us, we got to see that with Niang and now Garza is doing the same. Both guys have to work harder than anyone to be able to play at the level they do.

Will that motivation overcome the subbing patterns?

Forget about it? I just mentioned it. I've been disappointed with Fran at times but as far as performance goes he's just had back to back good/decent seasons and is probably going to have a 3rd in a row next year. Prohm is not trending in the right direction. He's on the hot seat and should be. If Fran's seat gets hot it would be more likely be behavior related rather than team performance.
It's all relative to your 'expectations'. Your team has obviously exceeded yours, while ours has not met ours. That says allot about where each of the programs are and have been.

I imagine Luka will see how much Iowa fans are willing to pay for Wadle's signature, forego the rest of his eligibility and sell autographed gear out of the Coralville Hy Vee parking lot.
