No argument there. But you also can't discount the need for estate planning and elder law attorneys to help people make their final arrangements. Some of my clients are in great shape because we've reviewed their plans recently and gotten things zipped up. Others have 20 year old wills and POA's and haven't gotten around to coming in to review things. I'm doing reviews over the phone, but the witnessing, signing, and notarization phase is where it gets tricky.
 
That's what I meant by "exponential".

It does appear that testing is increasing. I know people, who aren't vulnerable, and aren't in health care that are getting tested without their symptoms being severe.
 
What's most interesting/concerning to me is that 30 of the 56 new cases are between 18 to 60 years old (11 in the 18-40 range). I would assume that these people are only tested if they display some kind of symptoms that are worrisome. It could also be possible these people are in the medical field and are tested because of suspected contact.
 
Someone on facebook posted that there were lots of people out in Altoona on some soccer field.

Stay home. The only way this gets better is if we all stay home.

However, from what I've seen, others in the profession are not yet comfortable enough with the guidance we've received on how it will work to go that route. Yeah that's tough.. And I would agree something along those lines does indeed sound pretty essential during times like these. I would hope if something would end up happening in regards to a shut down, your company would still be able to function in some capacity for those in need of your services.

For example, I'm an estate planning attorney. I've had many clients call me wanting to either review or establish a Will and Medical Power of Attorney in case anything would happen to them. I don't think I'd fall under any occupation on that list, but I guess I personally consider what I described above as a pretty essential service in a time like this. But maybe I'm not. Who knows?

I saw a lit that showed Attorney's as essential

My fiance works hospital adjacent and she said testing wasn't an issue at the moment. They aren't just going to test you for no reason obviously, but if you had some symptoms, you could get tested. They've tested like 25 people and they have one positive.

Stay home? Officials are actively encouraging people to get outside, go on walks, hike, etc. but just maintain the 6' spacing.

I saw something yesterday that the mayor of Chicago banned people from taking long bike rides and walks and says that they would get arrested if they don't comply. This is so dumb. If people can't even go outside everyone will go crazy. Mental health issues due to this are no good either.

How are these people getting tests? Walking right into the ER? I know 2 people showing symptoms, in areas where cases were confirmed, and they were both told to stay home and self-quarantine and that a test wasn't necessary.

Yeah I have been going on walks almost everyday and will start going on bike rides now that it is warm out. Getting outside and getting some exercise is good for mental and physical health. Just don't group up. There is plenty of space.

The part that struck me as funny was her saying to stop going to parks. Or she would close the parks. LOL.

I wen't for a walk yesterday at Rock Creek. Saw a lot of people on the bike path as well. I don't see the problem with that. You don't have to stay home, just don't come in contact with people or within 6 feet.
