I’m aggressively moving cash/savings/money markets that I’ve saved up over the years (and likely should have just had invested in the market in hindsight) over to mutual funds and ETFs. I have moved a little bit every day pretty much, and so far that feels like the wrong thing to do, but I hope/think I’ll be rewarded longer term.

Suggestions for stocks to buy for hold until July/August. Have a decent chunk hitting me tomorrow and with this much blood in the streets it has to be an opportunity.

Energy stocks with high dividend payouts and solid balance sheets (e.g. Exxon) will be great buys long-term. They're getting hit from two sides with the virus and OPEC war. They'll bounce back hard when these are resolved.

I've left my 401k and IRA's alone (70% stock) but for my play money, I'm buying some BRK.B at $180.

Reports have said after every pandemic situation, stock have came back to pre pandemic levels within 6 months.

The problem is if you feel like there are underlying issues that were there prior to the pandemic that could come out with the bath water. Also, for this pandemic, it seems like people “feel” it’s different. Whether it is or not, who knows, but sentiment can go a long way in how this shakes out.

NY Fed just made a move. Not sure what that means but a huge turnaround in the market.

Looks like 500 billion in repo payments, whatever that means. Market jumped but is kind of fading again.

Edit: its apparently a loan that is backed by treasury offerings as collateral... To increase liquidity
