Exactly. Do we want Prohm to lead this team to a conference title? Yes. Should we fire him for not doing so? No. Will he get fired if seasons like this keep occuring? Yes.
I see Freddie has suspended two players and is heading into the Big 10 tourney on a 16 game losing streak. Likely to finish 7-25. As mediocre as Husker have been in hoops they had never lost 20 in a season. Guessing none of his players are leaving for the NBA but bet there will be more transfers out.
Still better than Ken Trickey's 3-25, guessing that's the worst season in Big 8/12 history. We've had three 19 game losing seasons, a few 18's and the 20 this year.

Even that is crazy. It’s a stretch to keep him after this year, and there are no good reasons other than financial. If he comes back next year it’s NCAAs or bust.
You think we only need two elite players to turn this around? I'm not a coach but I think we need more than two players.
Walker will be the least likely to be a major contributor right out of the gate but Foster, Dubar, and Blackwell will be much welcomed additions. I know this sounds crazy but here's a thought. What if some of our current players/guards develop?!?! CSP definitely needs to snag another ball handler off the transfer/juco market but we will have the pieces to make a significant stride forward next year.
Maybe the current Murray State coach can get a new gig and Steve can go back where he's more comfortable.
I'd rather have 2 elite players than 4 average players.

Are the four committed players average? Are they better than what is currently returning? Are you saying the recruiting services don't know how to properly rank classes?
Okay so I've seen plenty of people who hold the same opinion that I do that Prohm going after talent that leaves early isn't working out and that he needs to change his ways. This class sort of proves that's what Prohm's doing correct?
I'd rather us improve next year and be very solid for the following years than for us to have a quick turn around, lose talent again, and then be back to where we currently are.
Oklahoma State has the #1 ranked class in the Big 12 primarily because they have 1 great guy who happens to be the #1 recruit in the nation.. I would much rather have a solid all around class than a very top heavy one, being pulled up by one or two guys who are most likely done after a year or two.
I agree, I'm just wondering how a frustrated fanbase is going to handle growing pains next year again.
