The Fran fade

Not sure what Margaret has to do with it.

Prohm didn't really fade this year he's sucked since December.

Considering I nailed my prediction on the Fran fade I'll go with the obvious choice of Fran. Apology accepted
Iowa's ranking didn't change in Kenpom, NET or the AP poll due to the loss. Just as I said last week, a loss at Illinois would not hurt them. They covered -3.5 so that was actually a good showing. Fran has them playing above expectations in the last game of the regular season.

The AP poll hasn't been released yet right? I doubt they'll still be 18 with some of the showings other teams had this weekend. Illinois is likely to jump them as well as Wisconsin. Virginia might have a big leap after beating #10 Louisville.

10 pts, 8 assists, 5 rebs and 1 turnover while shooting 2-2 from 3 and 50% from the field. Pretty good day at the office.
Do you think his layup in the last seconds of the game was suppose to be a self-pass to himself for a tip in, or do you think he just put too much on it and just clanked it?

Hard to believe that Wisconsin won the B1G this year. Don't know how they do it year after year. They went on a roll after they lost King.

I have, on multiple occasions, this year stumped openly in favor of Iowa basketball.

With that said, I'm not sure I've seen a collection of ref obsessed players like this. It's mental weakness. It's a losers mentality. Surely, they cannot be outplayed--it's the refs fault.

So we are clear, we have:

A) Connor about Tom Eades after the first Illinois game;
B) Joe W. after Purdue;
C) Frederick after Illinois II.

Am I missing any?

I think he tried to bank it. It was one of the rare times this year where Iowa didn't have any timeouts remaining at the end of the game and he forced it.

Obsessed is going a little overboard. Connor and Fredrick were both responding to questions asked about the officiating. The correct answer should be "I'm not going to talk about the officiating" and leave it at that.

Or at least something like "the game got pretty physical and I can't control what gets called and what doesn't. All I can focus on is my game and how I can help the team" blah blah

Just like you didn't say...Iowa drops seven spots in the AP and barely stays in the top 25.

Iowa didn't drop in the AP poll? No way that's true

You are correct. I picked up the AP ranking off of NET which shows the AP as of 3/2. NET and Kenpom remain unchanged which is more important for seeding. I believe the committee relies more on the analytical rankings than they do on the AP.

Seems like the team rallied around one another and bought in when they lost King. Although he was talented he might've been the one holding them back. It shows how strong the entirety of the Big 10 is, while also solidifying there isn't truly a great team in the bunch. I wouldn't put my money on any team out of the Big 10 this year to make the Elite 8. If I absolutely had to, it'd probably be Sparty, but I'm not sold on them either.
