Xavier Foster Committed To Iowa State

1- I can’t wait till next year to really see how things turn out
2- it will be fun to come back to this thread in the years and see who was right.

3- anyone that plays at a mid major will always be down graded and told he could not do the same at a P6 conference. Hell people were saying that about Doug McDermott and how if he played at ISU he would not of been player of the year. It is apples to apples. It’s called talent

He would not of?

Speaking of talent, you have none.

Certainly when Xavier and Cole played together, Cole had better stats and eye test, from what I have heard. Statements like, “If you told me there was a four star recruit on the floor I’d have said it was Cole.”
BUT- that type of performance in high school doesn’t always translate to D1 college ball. I’m a Panther fan and I think Xavier has the higher potential.

Cole does fit the UNI offense better than Xavier, I think.

Same can be said for Born. He lights it up in HS. We are excited to see what he can do at UNI.

And hopefully Prohm gets the ship righted at ISU and we have three or four Iowa teams in the dance next year!

As long as we aren't getting a 2 inches taller version of George Conditt, a guy who should be a big, but played guard in high school, then I am eager to see what Xavier can do. If he is going to be a 7'0'' shooting guard and chuck 3's when he's out there...meh. Baylor had a "big" like that a few years back, only he claimed he was a 7'0'' point guard. Let's just hope Xavier doesn't lose an eye...

Bad post in so many ways.

What is this, a new Rhoho dingdong alt?

I’ve said this to many people. I believe Henry and Born will have a better college career then Foster. Henry is like Doug McDermott was at Ames. Over shadowed by a player with more hype. He is going to do real well at the college level. Born will also be a top level player.

I heard something similar about Henry too, all the way to the Doug McDermott comparison.

I don't even care if he takes 2 or 3 3's a game, as long as he can hit at a decent percentage and he does more than just that.
You really should just stop posting now unless you want to be seen as the dumbest poster on CF. That's a really high bar, but you are doing your best to clear it.

How did this thread become stupid after he committed? Thought getting the good recruit would make things chill but NOPE

That is the consequence of Steve Prohm giving us one of the worst seasons of the past 22 years. Just think, the season isn't even over yet! The five-month dead period is coming up, withing nothing to fill it since we got rid of ISU baseball. That will be a long and extremely fun five months!

why would anyone in their right mind think that coming on here, and questioning the heart of a kid that chose to play for Iowa State is ok? Not talking about dumbass rhoho. There are actual people that claim to be Iowa State fans doing this.

I do think you stumbled on to something here though, superfan. Of course it was completely by accident, and the opposite of what you thought you were saying.

there is truly truly a segment of this fan population that would rather see Iowa State lose, than see a Steve Prohm coached Iowa State team win. that’s where you all have driven the conversation here.

I don’t think he gets it done either, but I sure as **** hope he wins. A bunch of you have jumped the shark to the point where you can’t say the same.

Hearing rumors that LaVar Ball has hand selected Born to revive the Big Baller Brand.

Michael Born was one of my very favorite players to wear the cyclone uniform.

dude played a state championship game with a broken hand in high school. If Bowen has even half of his tenacity, he’s going to be a monster at the mvc level.

If you have not watched him play you are in for a treat. If you get a chance to watch the state basketball games on tv. Catch Norwalk and born. They should win it

There was nothing to talk about when we had baseball. At least nobody to talk about it with, unless you knew a player's parent.

I watched the game where they played Foster last year, for some reason I was home. Good player. Happy ISU didn't offer.

I have YoutubeTV, what channel?

I was going to say. I live in San Antonio man. You can’t get Texas high school basketball on tv down here. Pretty sure I won’t be able to see any Iowa State tournament games.

To be fair, wasn’t Foster a freshman or sophomore when Henry was a senior. Not really fair to compare a 14-15 year old to a 17-18 year old.

Well I'm sure I can watch it via the high school website, just wondering what TV channel it will be on. Girls are currently on PBS which is super easy to find over the air and on many providers.
