When did I say that was the expectation every season?
Just making the tournament this year means this season was a success. After the Depaulicle, I didn't think there was shot at making the tournament this year.
Sorry, Walmart blocked me.Yes, that is probably accurate. Would need a Clone fan to confirm though.
@CyTwins @JP4CY @Statefan10
I would say that depends on what seed we get. If we play on Wednesday and beat a team like Texas, K-State, or Oklahoma State, I wouldn't necessarily say we overachieved. If we play Thursday because we get 6th in the conference and we play OU, TTU, or WVU and win, I would say that exceeded expectations.Yes, that is probably accurate. Would need a Clone fan to confirm though.

Another great post, straw man.The guy is 47-45 overall and 17-32 in the conference with his own guys.
So what are your expectations every season? Your coach has been there a decade this isn't year 1
It's a perfect way to play this situation by saying only making the tournament is a success. Iowa's 3rd in the Big 10 at the moment and some people are saying they could make a deep run in the NCAA tournament. They have the capability to go far, but by saying simply making the tournament is a success, you cover the bases in case Iowa loses in the first or second round.I think you're on an island here

A season ending in disappointment and the season being a success are two different things. If we get taken out in the first round nearly everybody will be disappointed. In my opinion the season has already been a success. Hawks have been ranked for much of the year, have played in a lot of entertaining games, and have won a good number of big games against good opponents. They've also laid some eggs but overall they have been a good team and a lot of fun to watch.It's a perfect way to play this situation by saying only making the tournament is a success. In my opinion we need to win at least one in the tourney to have a good season.
Go get him @TRYHARDER and @iahawks
Go get him @TRYHARDER and @iahawks
Why would they come get me?
I said it was my opinion, not theirs or the opinion of all Iowa fans.
Do you think the Iowa season has been success if they make the tournament and go one and done?
