Tough day for EIU hoops hopes

Can never trust those dang Dayton offers. Who again that's a top 10 team offered Joe T?

I mean Anderson couldn't even make it to the first game of the year on one of the worst P6 teams in the nation and ended up at USF.

Toussaint is starting as a true freshman on a top 25 team.

It's pretty easy to tell who had the legit offer from Dayton and who didn't.

What does making it at ISU have to do with who he got an offer from?
Glad that Joe starting has nothing to do with injuries, that dead horse can finally be buried.

Toussaint is the fastest guy on the court at any given time. He has a ton of potential.
I’m sorry, but Toussaint’s potential is probably tapped at 10-12 ppg. That’s not a “ton of potential”.

Nothing wrong with those numbers, but 5’10 PG’s that struggle shooting are going to have limited potential.

Where do I sign up for 10-12 PPG Toussaint?

I don’t really worry about shooting as a freshman. Toussaint reminds me of that purdue pg like ten years ago, became a really nice player despite never being a great shooter.

Do you think Toussaint is good?

I'll take a guy like Zavier Simpson any day. 9pts, 6.6 asts and 5 rebs per game last year. He's scoring about 12 ppg this year. Impossible to keep out of the lane and plays great defense.

Again, 10-12 ppg is not a “ton of potential”, which was the main point.

He’ll be a solid player, but I’m not seeing this tremendous upside.
You do realize pg's are not always relied upon to score. There's more to the game than ppg. You are regurgitating the same stuff CyTwins does. Bolton is all conference because he scores 15 ppg. Nevermind that he is shooting 40%, turns the ball over way too much and plays below average defense....but he does score 15 ppg.
