Tough day for EIU hoops hopes

So 2 disagreements....not bad
I would actually say Frederick is a hit at the moment. He's been phenomenal this year and so far would fall into that category. Uthoff is in his own category considering he was never recruited to go there and Fran really didn't have to do anything in order to land him.

I'm fine with Frederick being a hit as long as Conditt is. Frederick has really struggled in conference play though but so has Conditt

I think CJ has been more productive than Conditt and there are definitely different levels of hits. If Conditt were a hit, he's on the lower end of the list and possibly creeping into the "potential hit" list, or whatever that category was. He's certainly not a miss, but I would not say he's a 100% hit yet.

Lol yep and now they're giving credit to Fran for recruiting him there

If anything it was shady. He went out of his way to claim they hadn't talked. Yet I've never heard of anyone transferring and just hoping to be on the bball team without talking to the head coach until after the transfer was complete.

Cook is either a miss or in between. Remember the only shots he ever made were within 2' of the basket. With no outside shot at all, I'd be leaning toward a miss.
Cook was not a miss. He's just not a homerun. Conditt can't really do much outside of 5 feet either and he doesn't have an outside game either. I think Conditt could end up being better than Cook by the time Conditt is finished here, but Conditt can't be a hit while Cook is a miss.

Conditt reminds me of Calvin Godfrey a few years ago. Some games the guy could take over and you'd think "ok this is the missing link. Just need him to be consistent" Other games can't seem to find him on the floor.

Frederick's PER in conference play is under 14 now. Same as Zion Griffin on the season

Yeah I think Conditt is better than Godfrey and definitely has a much higher upside. Conditt still has a ton to work on, but people need to remember he's just a sophomore. He's 6'11" with a huge wingspan and a tremendous shot blocker. He just needs to keep developing his inside post game and he still needs to add about another 10-15 pounds.

Yeah his production has certainly gone down.. I'm just saying that I think at this very moment Frederick has been a hit. He's also probably creeping down on the list a bit, but overall he's been solid and a key part of the Iowa team.

Fredrick in conference play:

10.2 PPG
2.0 RPG
2.6 APG
45% FG
41% 3 Point FG
84% FT

Conditt in conference play:

6.1 PPG
4.2 RPG
0.7 BPG
45% FG
59% FT

Fredrick is starting on one of the best teams in the best conference in the nation. Conditt cant hold onto a starting spot on one of the worst P6 teams in the nation.

Or almost identical to Haliburton's PER in conference games last year.

I am going to guess you would have called Haliburton a hit last year though.

Conditt in conference play
PER - 15.3

Like I said both are struggled in conference play, CJ obviously more

So you think Conditt is better in conference play this season than Haliburton was last season?
