Iowa Football Recruiting

That is mostly true.

I didn’t watch a lot of K-State this year but they were one of the few with real TE’s in the past. I don’t recall other Big 12 schools that use a TE the way Iowa has or how it appears isu is moving to. I think it is a good move on isu’s part. Shorten the game by possessing the ball and keeping high powered offenses on the sideline. It b puts a lot of pressure on them and it gives your defense time to be sharp.

I think a lot of the conference uses the TE essentially as a FB type (H-Back), ISU does this as well.

Dean is going to be a stud.

ISU has absolutely loaded up that TE group. Great news with the inexperience at WR.

True or not, kind of a curious signal for CMC to send to Kolar... sorry kid, this guy is going to be way, way better than you could ever be.

CMC could've made the point without sending a verbal middle finger to his current All-Conference TE. Weird.

Odd for sure. I wonder if staying in school is gonna cost Kolar a lot of money if CMC cuts his playing time to play Dean more.

That’s one way to spin it, for sure.

Wait is good Gonzo back?

It's really not spin, just a weird thing for a head coach to say. Puts a tad bit of pressure on the unproven kid, and I think is kind of disrespectful to the really good TE he has starting for him right now. But if you're cool with it, carry on.

Is this the brother of the stud OL recruit we just got? His recruiting story was pretty interesting IIRC

Stud recruit equals barely in the top 1000 with offers from NIU, ISU, SDSU and Louisville to ISU fans. LOL!
