Tough day for EIU hoops hopes

Every good player develops outside of the program he is at. The most over rated thing about college basketball coaches is that they can get a player to the NBA. That is BS. You have to have the talent first, and then you have to push yourself outside of the program. These coaches get very little time with players in the off season and the great players aren't becoming great by putting in the minimum time to develop.

Do you feel the same about the NFL?

Do you feel the same about the NFL?

In one respect yes, in the other no. You have to have NFL talent to make the NFL. George Kittle has/had NFL talent even though only 1 D1 program offered him. Yet you can't develop your body at just any program. If Kittle would have gone to some lower level program odds are he never develops into the best NFL TE. NBA is totally different.

Oh then Baer for sure. We're 244th in the country in rebounding and 131st in defense. Give me the 6'7 kid that can rebound, defend and shoot for

You go down swinging, I'll give you that much.
Figured there would be a thread discussing this:

Fran 100% did the right thing. Quickest way to derail a good season would be suspensions when it could have been avoided.

Yep, the Illinois assistants wanted an incident exactly like that, but Fran wasn't playing their games. Good call to protect his players and get them off the court.

I love how Fran went from "Rhoads 2.0" to some calm, cool and collected coach in a matter of months

So your position on suspensions is, only suspend a player if it doesn't affect the season or its a poor season. You have the alford mentality it appears.

I don't think Fran has the authority to suspend the Illinois assistance coaches.

Moss is a better shooter than Connor. He's not better at anything else. Connor is leading the nation in assist to turnover ratio. That's not luck.
I think Connor has done a very good job at what he's been asked to this year. He plays hard and rarely messes up. The difference between his play this year compared to last year is eye opening, considering last year he was actually a pretty big liability when on the floor.

Or getting yourself a two game suspension like he did last year which didn't allow him to coach @ Wisconsin and home vs. Rutgers, two games Iowa ended up dropping last year. If Iowa loses that game I think all of this is flipped and Fran is the one freaking out. Fran hasn't changed, rather he's able to take the high road more often because his teams are winning games.

Because I am smarter than you.
1-uhm. How do you know if u are making **** up?
2-I don’t know but guessing cal gives no ***** about failed Fran.
3-their fans? That is so very delicious. Jumping baby Jesus. Suck more schlong?
4-quick question here big thinker: did you just tell me cal did not want cj even as a walk on? Are you really this dumb?
5-Seneca Wallace.

Ps to all reading I deserve mad props brining Seneca in
You should stop this nonsense and just go back to telling Iowa fans how much they will miss Isiah Moss this year. You have some really great takes 50 pages back.

That being said, I think Garza's improvement has nothing to do with Fran. Fran has shown the last decade he's done little to help his players.

"Let Fran tell him what to do," HOF Coach Lefty Dreisell at the 7:50 mark.

Not a slam on Joe, hell Monte could have been on the list, I didn't know there was a Jerry West award.

Monte was a PG, this is for 2 guards as the tweet says.

Arent there different awards for each position? Cousy award for PG, Malone award for PF's, etc.
