ISR March to Madness thread

Figured we should have a thread to track the in-state teams efforts to reach March Madness.

Iowa 16-6 Net #21 Looking good but still work to do.
UNI 19-3 Net #43 Having a great year...could get an at large but can't lose more than 1 more regular season game IMO.
ISU 9-12 Net #73 Net ranking higher than I'd thought, probably need to go 8-2 for a chance at an at-large.....just kidding, need to win B12 tourney
Drake 15-8 Net 153 Good year...NET sux....need to win conference tourney.
 
Iowa and UNI are the only teams in consideration for the NCAA's this year. That's really all I know because thanks to a trash season, I haven't followed college basketball nearly at all.

I just want to take a second to appreciate that this entire season has been a wild ride and that March is shaping up to be even more insane. It's not exactly feeling like a "chalk bracket" year.

Iowa should pretty easily be in and gather a decent seed. UNI has a very realistic chance, but I feel they'll be a double-digit seed. ISU for some unknown reason is ranked relatively high in all of NET/KenPom/Bartorvik versus their W/L record, but I don't see it mattering aside from a miraculous turnaround.

You guys have a good track record in Kansas city so there's always hope.

If UNI drops a game and then loses in STL they will be sweating. If UNI does get in there isn't a single 1-4 seed that will want them in their bracket.

I would love to play UNI in the tourney. They do not match up well with Iowa.

There will still be a good showing compared to non-kansas schools. Lot's of folks go down because it's a blast. If the cyclones make it to friday they'll come
 
Need ISU to stay in the top 75 so that it counts as a Quad 1 win for Iowa.

Iowa needs to win three more games and then it is all gravy.

Yeah, there will be representation but I imagine numbers will be way down. It's a great time but I for one am not spending the money when realistically we don't have much of a shot. Even though it's a quick drive down I35 it adds up pretty dang fast down there.

If the Hawks don't make the tournament it will be a monumental collapse. 20 wins on that B1G schedule would, I think, be a shoo-in.

Even if they play .500 the rest of the way, they'll at worst be 20-11. They have some nice wins, too. The DePaul loss doesn't look so bad anymore.

I just don’t even know how we are still 73rd in NET. It’s definitely a lot easier for the major conference program teams to make the tourney and a lot harder for the mid majors. It takes even worse years now not to make the tournament.

They are sitting at 21st in Net. They could just about lose out and they probably still make it. I just don’t really see them losing at home to Nebraska. That’s the only loss they could pick up that would really hurt.

Iowa 16-7 Net #30 Slipped 8 spot after the boat racing
UNI 20-3 Net #39 Up 4 spots...at large a possibility
ISU 9-13 Net #75 Slipped one, competitive v WVU.....unless they go 8-1 down the stretch need to win B12 tourney
Drake 16-8 Net 138 ..up 12....need to win Valley tourney
