I like to make fun of Connor as much as anyone, but let's not pretend he wouldn't be playing 30 minutes for us. It's not pretty, but he plays his role well.

We already have a spacing issue with this team. Adding a guard to this team the opposing defense wouldn't have to guard would make my eyes bleed

You think we dump Hali for him, because that is the position he plays. He isn't playing the 4 or 5. The one is Hali so not there. Bolton is still playing in that situation, we need scoring, not a guard who made one basket in a 3 game stretch. All he could replace is at the two, which now is jackson and I think Connor would be around 10-15 area for minutes. So we would move him to a 2/3 position and be a higher minute sub.

I'm not saying he'd take Haliburton, who by the way, isn't really playing the point most of the time now. I think we'd go three guards with Hali, Bolton and him. This is, of course, a pointless hypothetical argument I've brought on myself .

I get why Iowa handled things the way they did yesterday but Fran can't have it both ways. There have been numerous occasions of Fran still running the press inside a minute and refusing to concede a game that was over. IMO Fran and Iowa need to be careful here, at this point they have a history of post game bush league BS.

Jackson is better than him at this point. They have to guard him at least and he can defend

You must have not watched the game. But I do like your ability to tell a story. The University of Iowa fans and administration are pretty good at fictional storytelling.

Was 86-68 fiction? How about 9-12. Or the FAMU outcome, all fiction?

The more CyTwins and his faithful obsess over Iowa the better things go for the Hawks.

Keep it going.

Connor has a PER of 13, which while not great, is nearly double Tre's. Their defensive ratings are nearly identical on SportsReference, and Connor's offensive rating is quite a bit higher. Connor's True Shooting Percentage is higher as well.

So I guess I can't find a single advanced stat to support that.

Like the Nebraska game this year when they are down by 8 with 11 seconds and Connor is fouling.

CyTwins moves the goal posts again. Sometimes the entire season is what counts. Other times it is only February. Of course when they fail just the last game is all that can be talked about.
The only thing he is consistent about is his obsession with Iowa.

I expect CyTwins will have over 70,000 posts to his credit before the clones visit Iowa City in September.

Well all of Connor's shots are when he's completely wide open so I'd hope it's better than someone being guarded lol

Iowa needs three more wins and they will be dancing. Never thought they would be in this position after the Depaul Debacle. So far, this is the best coaching job of Fran's career.

Should have gave Lick another 5-6 years to see if he could get them there. He didn't get the 10 year fran plan, or has it been 11?
