Graham Couch: Iowa Basketball is a mid-major roster

Haliburton seriously didn't make a FG in the second half until less than a minute left?

When you're one of only two guys who can actually score at the moment the #1 team in the country can make things pretty difficult on you

Lol you guys want him to be bad so much that it's actually getting sad

I was really somewhat impressed with Bolton during the first half. Of course he was hot and was hitting everything he shot. 2nd half was atrocious for him. Still not sure what to think about think about him overall. You need guys who can get buckets for sure. Yet he turns it over way too often, he doesn't pass well or share the ball well and he doesn't play defense.

Overall you are way to impressed by him IMO. Getting buckets is nice, but you also need to do at least a few other things to help your team win.

He's pretty much a slightly less efficient Wieskamp. His job is to get buckets not assists just like Joe

Teams focus on him. Bolton needs to be looking to create a little and look for Haliburton.

Haliburton is about the only guy that looks to create for others....
Our team hasnt learned they are a bad perimeter shooting team. It's easier said than done but they need to drive more. Especially on a team like Baylor with their incredible size, it's a lot easier said than done.
We had some guys take some long 2s last night and I cringed because of how much Hoiberg beat it into players and fans how bad of a choice that is.

Had this conversation with my friend last night. If Bill Self was coaching this team would they push for the NCAA? I’m having a hard time. Just a month ago Chris Williams wrote an article for his New Years hopes, and one of them was for Prohm to get this team to the tourney. Then we lost to Florida A&M the next day.

I think it’s conceivable that with a top 10 coach this team would be a bubble ish team. Thoughts?
