He was still 10-23 in the game. Bolton had 9 free throws, that's good for him. 43% from the field is better than 32%.Wieskamp took 23 shots to score 21 points vs Nebraska. Nebraska! Lol

And I would say Wieskamp played a bad game that game.
Garza took 21 shots to score 21 points vs Maryland! At home!
How many of those were bad shots compared to how many bad shots Bolton forced on Saturday?
Why are we comparing Bolton, a pretty solid guard, to Garza, a POY candidate? lolHow many of those were bad shots compared to how many bad shots Bolton forced on Saturday?
A+Penn st last year with Bolton = No NCAA. Penn ST this year without Bolton = NCAA. ISU last year without Bolton = NCAA. ISU this year with Bolton = No NCAA.
I honestly think you're putting too much emphasis on the Louisiana Monroe game. That game, his stats were for sure padded. Name another game he padded his stats in.
The vast majority of Purdy's yards were padded vs horrible defenses.
Texas tech vs the #127 ranked D 378 yards
Kansas vs the #122 ranked D 372 yards
Texas vs the #97 ranked D 354 yards
ULM vs the #128 ranked D 435 yards
Oklahoma St vs the #83 ranked D 382 yards
West Virginia vs the #74 ranked D 229 yards
Against cupcake defenses (ranked 70 or lower) Purdy padded his stats to the tune of 2,150 yards and went 5-1.
Vs top 70 defense Purdy went 1-5 with 1,554 yards
Here's my response to everyone, and it might be a little emotional considering the situation with Kobe Bryant, who I absolutely admired growing up..
I want to be more positive towards not only the team I root for, but for our rival as well. I'm done ragging on Iowa and their players. I'm not going to root for them, but I'm done being so negative about them. For my own team, I'm going to complain less and cheer more. Im going to watch and enjoy the game of basketball. It's my favorite sport, always has been.
I also want to stop comparing players from both Iowa State and Iowa, rather discuss each player individually. There's no reason to compare the players because every one of them is different and is in a different situation. We devalue them when comparing them in my opinion. I think we all, including me, need to remember that these guys are not just a means to happiness on a random weeknight or a Saturday afternoon. They're kids who are putting a s*** load of time into their sport. They're humans. They make mistakes, they miss shots, they have bad games.
I just feel like we're all hating on each other way too much and for what reason? Because we grew up liking a school in a different town who wears different colors? I am all fine with the rivalry because that is absolutely what makes sports amazing but I'm done with the blind rage and hatred towards Iowa. Life is short. I'm only 24 years old and hopefully have a full life ahead of me, but it could be gone in a second. I don't want to spend my time spewing dumb remarks towards Iowa fans or even Iowa State fans who I don't necessarily agree with.
I obviously know that some of you might not agree with me or think that I'm being over the top, but that's fine. It's just my opinion and how I'm going to carry myself from now on.
So Weiskamp's worst game of the year he shot 43% from the field which is better than Bolton's season average....got it. Bolton has now surpassed Weiskamp in shot attempts for the year.Lol well yeah. 23 shots to get 21 points vs Nebraska is bad
Yeah I think Purdy had some games where he didn't play his best.. Specifically K-State, Notre Dame, and the last 3 possessions of the Okie State game. I do think although Iowa State lost against Baylor, Iowa, and OU, he played alright - pretty well. He wasn't perfect this year that is for sure, but he was still pretty darn good. The vast majority of Purdy's yards were padded vs horrible defenses.

Hopefully he's able to clean some areas of his game up to take him to that next level. He's very young, very good, but still has a lot to learn and get better at.
Top 70 defenses are good? What a weird place to cut off cupcake and non cupcake
