All Iowa Football Team---Post Bowl Edition

Cronk wouldn't even be a depth guy at other schools and you wouldn't feel bad about him being a starter at Iowa who prides themselves on having one of the best OLs in the country? Lol my have things changed
Apparently...you were just gushing about the kid a week ago.....

Yes you said he wouldn't be a depth guy and wouldn't see the field at other schools

I said he wouldnt see the field at schools like LSU or ND and am right. Those are top 8-10 programs nationally. I never said he wouldnt be a depth guy.

Iowa doesn't have a top 10 OL unit nationally? Seems like they just won an award for best OL in the country not long ago and now they're taking grad transfers that wouldn't see the field at good programs. My have the mighty fallen

Would be funny if they moved Cronk over to guard and put Kallenberger at RT. I think Cronk is more suited for guard and the staff has all of spring drills and fall camp to work with him at guard.

Iowa is not a top 10 OL school at this point. Top 15-20 program overall though so no complaints over here.

I mean I wanted him at first and then @HawkJRP informed me he wouldn't even see the field at good schools so it sounds like we dodged a bullet

So you are saying that @HawkJRP knows more about football than you, and now you agree with his assessments?

For the record I really have no idea how good the guy is. Started a long time at Indiana, so he has experience and at worst we got some more OL depth. Considering we had out starting LT miss games last year as well as several Guards, this is always a good thing.

  • Agree

Nah, Im not like you. I know it stings for you though because you really wanted him.

The only path to him being a starter would be if the coaches think Kallenberger fits better at guard.

I still think it will be on the OL, left to right:

Jackson
Banwart
Linderbaum
Schott/Britt
Kallenberger
May actually side with Twins on this one (gulp).

Cronk isn’t going to Iowa to sit on the bench. They need him to play.

Relying on a guy to start for you when he wouldn't even see the field at good programs is a good thing?
