The fact that you talk about "data" and then list one QB out of like 10 tells me all I need to know regarding your ability to analyze anything. Lol
There is a huge difference between the two QB's. Without the whole Park debacle we might not have even gotten Purdy so I'm glad with how everything turned out.

Jacob's issues are most likely between the ears. I think that's pretty obvious. I wished him well when he moved on. He said he "had to make it" because he has a daughter now, and I hope for her sake he does.
He was in two of my classes and always seemed very nice. I think he had a rough couple of weeks and ultimately it cost him a spot on the team.

Making the tourney is a successful season, especially with how the year started (DePaul) and the injuries we have had.
While I would agree, barring an epic collapse, Iowa will be in the tournament.
