I get you need adds to fund the site and keep it free (I may subscribe and pay for add free) but the part of the UFC/ESPN+ add that ticks me off is that there is not way on my screen to minimize it or get rid of it after I see it. There is no "X" to shut it off and it covers the bottom two inches of screen real estate.

There's not escaping ESPN+ subscribe ads. Was logged into ESPN+ on the app to watch a game and there was a YUGE banner across the middle above the games saying subscribe for $4.95 even though I already subscribe and was logged in and looking for the ISU/Kansas game. At first I thought I wasn't logged but, nope, I was.

This. I was hoping it would go away once I enter a thread but it still comes up when inside a thread.

Not that it matters much because the use of footer navigation is probably minimal but it does cover it up

Not to go slightly off topic...

Ok, I think boxing and UFC are dumb (aka purposely getting beat up and brain damage along the way), but regardless - is it just me or is Conner McGregor the biggest douche in the history of sports? I’ve only seen him in ESPN ads and such but man the dude makes Justin Bieber and Elon Mush look like somebody you’d invite over for Christmas dinner.

On mobile it's not as bad but on my desktop, it extremely large and annoying for 2 reasons. 1 I have espn+ and 2 McGregor is a douche and seeing him on the screen makes me want to punch my screen.
