All Iowa Football Team---Post Bowl Edition

True Fr. TE for Iowa. Didn't even really start getting quality playing time until the Wisconsin game. In 5 games he had 15 catches and 188 yards. Pretty impressive a Fr can leap frog 3 other RS JR or older TE at TE U.

LaPorta has been very impressive.

Goodson is a good blocker, he wouldn't get on the field at Iowa if he wasn't. Hall is a stud, I agree with you there.

OK let's just say Goodson is as good as blocker as Hall which is probably generous. Hall is a better runner and WAY better receiver

How about a little 2020 preview. A lot of good young players for ISU, and obviously this assumes Wirfs and Epenesa leaving early.

QB - Purdy
RB- Hall
TE- Kolar
WR - Milton
WR - ISM
WR - Smith
OL- Jackson
OL- Downing
OL - Linderbaum
OL - Newell
OL - Iowa ?

DL- Bailey
DL - Uwazurike
DL - Gholston
DL- Petersen
LB- Rose
LB- Vance
LB- Colbert
CB- Hankins
CB- Johnson
S- Stone
S- Eisworth

Yeah I'm not sure why this is so complicated to some

I don't know why it is so complicated either. Hall got more opportunity this year than Goodson did. Hall had 50 more carries than Goodson did, and if you give Goodson 50 more carries this year, and give him the playing time Hall had, they would have nearly identical stats.

Hall had a better year, hall is a stud. Goodson had a good year, Goodson is a stud.

He's not on the list but I actually think Ragaini ran some nice routes in San Diego and overall had a better year than I anticipated him having.

I would probably plug in Cole Banwart in at one of the OL spots and maybe make a case for Nixon as one of the DL because I think he is going to be a stud next year. Probably put LaPorta in as the 2nd TE well because I'm an Iowa fan but other than that looks pretty spot on.

You're going to just keep going around and around so you might as well stop.
And if you're saying opportunities matter that much it makes last year's Brock vs Nate debate even worse.

Far to small body of work. We don't know what he will do next year without Stanley.

Lots of unknowns for your offense next year. That Oregon State kid could come out and be worse than Stanley (if that's possible) or he could come out looking like the next Lawrence/Purdy

Stanley and Wirfs are pretty much all Iowa is going to lose on offense. Losing a 3 year starter at QB is hard but it will be exciting to watch the QB battle this spring and fall. You can bag on Petras all you want,(Oregon State) but the kid beat all of Jarrod Goff's high school records in CA and threw for 50 TD's to only 2 INT's in his senior year. The kids got some talent so lets see how it translates to the college game. With the talent Iowa has at WR returning it's going to be a fun season next year for this Hawkeye fan.

I feel like Brian called a good game and did some unique plays. Look, Nate had some good stats and racked up a lot of wins but with just a little bit of mobility at QB there could be a lot more games like the SC one.

If you want to look at High School stats to justify a recruit you must think that Hogan kid sucks

That is true on Nixon. He’d likely be in there on the interior, forgot about him.

Iowa does potentially lose quite a bit on the DL it seems.

If talking about who a school beat out to get a player is "bagging" on them I bag on Purdy all the time
