All Iowa Football Team---Post Bowl Edition

Sure OU is tougher than Penn St. Is Baylor tougher than Wisconsin? Is OSU tougher than Michigan? Is K-State tougher than Minnesota? Not according to the actual polls those games aren't tougher. Then of course you have to play Iowa which helps you SOS and us playing ISU hurts our SOS.

This stuff is all seriouz business for @CyTwins I have found. Almost as seriouz as his Iowa Super Bowl troll. These are two sacred cows that @CyTwins will defend to the death on this site.
I mean technically speaking both Baylor and OU are tougher than anyone on Iowa's entire schedule, and we played both of those teams on the road. And yes, Baylor is better than Wisconsin. Baylor's only two losses this season were to OU, neither of those games were blowouts, and one of the games happened with Baylor's starting QB out almost the entire game.

It is definitely tough playing top 20 teams. That is why Iowa's conference schedule was tougher, they had to play 4 top 20 teams compared to ISU playing 2 of them.

I mean I would totally agree that ISU's non conference schedule was tougher than Iowa's. ISU had to play a top 20 team, and Iowa didn't. Yet we are just talking conference schedule here, and Iowa's was obviously tougher.

It actually "obviously" wasn't tougher lol. It's quite funny you stop your ranking at 20 to help your narrative because OSU is ranked #25.. Also, outside the 4 ranked opponents Iowa played, they played a bunch of tomato cans. Purdue, Rutgers, and Northwestern were absolute atrocities this year..

8th compared to 37th. Our schedule is Oregon your schedule is Michigan State. Think how big of gap that is for a second

You get a big bump playing Iowa in the non conference, that is a top 20 team. Iowa didn't get that bump from ISU. I thought you were talking conference schedules anyway? You got Sagarin's conference SOS numbers?

I'll help. about 4-8
Michigan State was worse than Illinois this year. They weren't competitive in any game against a good team this year and their best win was Indiana, another team who's record was a byproduct of the terrible schedule they played.

10-2 with Iowa's schedule would be pretty fun to have

You went 1-5 vs bowl eligible teams, and 0-3 vs top 25 teams. You would have gone 0-4 vs top 25 teams playing Iowa schedule and 2-5 vs bowl eligible teams. 7-5 vs Iowa's schedule is what you would have been.

Iowa beat 1 top 20 team, so Iowa would have gone 1-1 vs OU and Baylor. Iowa didn't lose to a team ranked outside the top 20, so Iowa goes 10-0 vs the rest of ISU scheduled. Iowa is 11-1 vs ISU schedule.
