This Dr. Manhattan clue blew my mind
The Dr. Manhattan brand dildo that Laurie had was called Excalibur
Ex-Cal-Abar

I think that that scene was supposed to feel like that. Both of them feeling they are in a position of power in the situation without knowing what the other one knows. Jane was just waiting for her to slip up or reveal her assumptions, to finally reveal that she was in on it the whole time as well. This season has been awesome. I think the last episode wasn't quite on par with the rest of the season. A couple of the reveals were fantastic, especially Cal at the end. The whole scene with Jane and Lori just felt off. Hard for every episode to be perfect but they have been close. Can't wait for the last 2.

Also her "reaction" to Lauri bringing up mind control was a dead giveaway that she knew imo haha
Sad that every week that goes by a more impressive/theory-inspiring episode comes out, and still noone has jumped in to talk about it. Are people just not watching this one? I'm loving it.
Hopefully they'll make a second season. If Lost (early seasons), Breaking Bad, and Deadpool had a baby; this would be it imho.
edit - just saw the egg scene and they put a tint of blue in there, awe ****!
He originally wanted it to be so tied up that noone could add on to it, but it sounds like he changed his tone a bit as the season went along. I know his original plan was to take away Manhattan's powers so noone would want to pick it back up, but then he saw the reasoning for including the angela scene.Just heard today that the show's creator intended for it to be a one-off season and wasn't planning on doing a second season.
Apparently, he didn't even realize that he left kind of a cliffhanger at the end.

I don't see how a second season would be possible. Not while maintaining the quality or minimizing the events of the 1st season, which would be a shame. The show we got was amazing. It complimented the source material so well. It was amazing how many little references there were, if not outright duplication of dialogue. The attention to detail was insane. He originally wanted it to be so tied up that noone could add on to it, but it sounds like he changed his tone a bit as the season went along. It makes me sad that he has no intention on doing another, however, I do think his approach to it being a one off season made the season more complete for sure. A lot of things tied up neatly, with paths forward but not many. But the more I think about I would be okay with this being the only season. As much as I'd love to get a conclusion on Angela's story, I don't need it. I think if they went forward a new director should take another viewpoint. Idk, something like the fallout of Laurie and Looking Glass exposing Adrien Veidt was the cause of the attack, and how the world rebounds from that (second) piece of world altering information, shortly after you had come to the realization that the world you lived in was the new norm. But idk, if I'd want it to be so heavily based on Manhattan's powers as it may seemed forced. Obviously you'd have to include it, but I feel they could go a few ways with this if they really wanted to pick it up an run with it. /rant
What???? I thought the show completely ended.Last I heard was 2020, but any idea when S3 is coming out?
The stuff happening in Tulsa could be just rumors in the Pacific Northwest or somewhere. The Internet doesn’t exist in this timeline.I don't see how a second season would be possible. There's no internet, but there's still mass media. Veidt watched news from all over the world in Antarctica in 1985.The stuff happening in Tulsa could be just rumors in the Pacific Northwest or somewhere. The Internet doesn’t exist in this timeline.
You could have someone break Owlman (Dreiberg) out and have him conflicted on ignoring or returning to vigilantism, say in a city that’s trying to crack down on both criminals and vigilantes.
I’m perfectly content with leaving this as the complete story though. I really am not interested in 10 episodes of Angela with Manhattan’s powers.
Another season would not be worth it if they based it around Angela coming into her own with Manhattan's powers. I do think that they could be successful coming up with a new storyline in the same world they have built up. Or even a prequel of sorts, could work. There's no internet, but there's still mass media. I'm with you in another season. It would run completely counter to the vibe of the entire universe to see Angela the way you described. A big point of the series is that superheroes are pretty stupid and ineffective if it's just vigilantes running around in costumes, and if they're the real thing AKA Dr. Manhattan, then they're mostly terrifying and dangerous, instead of benevolent and crime fighting.
Very cool. Incredibly good series. Even better if you've read the graphic novel prior. All 9 episodes of Watchmen will be free to watch this weekend on HBO.com
