43% of the Big10 West is ranked in the top 20
20% of the Big12 is ranked in the top 20
I wished Iowa played in the Mountain West like ISU
We had a much more difficult schedule than Iowa and don't play in the Mountain West so this is a fail on multiple levels
Congrats that Kansas was better than Rutgers.
Iowa played twice as many top 20 conference teams than ISU did. LOL on that being a "tougher" schedule.
Jamie feels like ISU, OSU, KU, K-State, Tech, Baylor, TCU, and WVU are Mountain West teams, so I'll stick with that analogy
Like it's been pointed out, it's safe to assume we'd have 9-10 wins if we had a much much much much much easier schedule like you guys had
Baylor played 1 top 20 team in the regular season and 5 Bowl Eligible teams
OSU played 2 top 20 teams in the regular season and 5 Bowl Eligible teams
K-State played 2 top 20 teams in the regular season and 6 Bowl Eligible teams
ISU played 2 top 20 teams in the regular season and 6 Bowl Eligible teams
Iowa played 4 top 20 teams and 7 Bowl Eligible teams
Wisconsin played 4 top 20 teams and 8 Bowl Eligible teams
Heck even Minnesota played 3 top 20 teams and 5 Bowl Eligible teams
The Big10 West could only dream of playing an easy Mountain West type schedule like ISU
Yes I'm aware Iowa State played a significantly tougher schedule than Iowa
You think Mountain West teams that can't even qualify for a bowl game are tough? YIKES!
Do I think every Big 12 team not named Kansas is better than Illinois? Yes, yes I do
If a team can't make a bowl game, they aren't good enough to categorize, they are just bad.
So you think Illinois is better than TCU?
TCU didn't make a bowl, they are garbage. Not sure why you think teams that can't even get to 6 wins are worth debating about. I'll say the same thing about Northwestern, Nebraska, Purdue, TCU, WVU, Kansas and Texas Tech. They all go in one bucket, the they suck bucket.
So you think Illinois is better than TCU?
If you don't make a bowl game, you suck. If you are trying to say that ISU deserves major props for beating a bad team, then I'm not with ya on that. I'm not gonna say beating non bowl teams should be some big accomplishment. I haven't bragged up Iowa's wins over Middle Tenn St., Rutgers, Nebraska, Purdue, or Northwestern, because they all sucked, we'd better beat them. You really shouldn't be bragging about beating UNI, ULM, Tech, TCU, WVU, or Kansas, they all sucked, and claiming ISU played some tough schedule because you played 6 non bowl eligible teams looks pathetic.
So you think Illinois is better than TCU?
Illinois beat a top 20 team, and 2 bowl eligible teams. TCU beat 1 bowl eligible team.
So you think Illinois is better than TCU?
Illinois won more games and had better wins than TCU. Illinois easily had the better season.
So you think Illinois is better than TCU?
