I just called and asked about when they are going to open the upper deck for ticket sales.

They said not until the lower bowl is sold out.

I told her that fans would rather sit in upper deck than endzone. Maybe more of us need to call and get them to realize this. I am one, for sure, that doesn't want to drive 20 hrs one way, just to sit in the endzone. Especially since I am still on fence for going.

I agree I don’t understand their stance. Seems like there are 41,000 lower deck tickets. I also think they’d be able to charge much more for a midfield upper deck ticket. They’ve really lowered ticket prices since we got ours. (Kind of bitter but oh well). There’s only so many people who can make the trip.

I love the endzone, I have had endzone tickets in Kinnick for 10+ years. You can see all the plays open up, see the line play and see what the QBs see. Great way to watch a game. Would not change.
I agree. I had endzone seats at the Stanford/Iowa Rose Bowl. Watching McCaffery run straight at us in the first quarter was great. The only problem was I had trouble seeing in the second quarter with all the Hok fans getting up to leave the stadium early.

I, too, prefer upper deck seats over end-zone seats in general. However, the view from the end-zone seats at CWB Stadium is fine, and the upper deck seats are much higher and steeper than at Jack Trice Stadium. Just an fyi.

Impressive crowd for Alabama in a bowl that probably was a disappointment for most. Take note K-State.
