I have a strong feeling that Goodson faced tougher competition since it is defenses that we need rankings for when comparing RBs.
I know you know this, but that doesn't tell the whole story of what competition the RBs faced. RBs face defense and Goodson faced better defenses and thus better competition. This is common sense.
Considering we faced the 7th hardest schedule in the country and you got to face the 35th hardest schedule in the country the answer is an overwhelming yes

Why did Hall not play against Iowa or why did Purdy not start at QB at the beginning of last season? Sometimes we don't know why but eventually the right guys get on the field.
Who's bringing up how many starts Purdy or Hall had when trying to defend their statistics?

The efficiency metric is probably a better overall indicator of overall defense than PPG. With that said making an argument that one offensive player faced tougher defenses based on overall SOS is absolute loony town.

You bragging about Goodson only starting 3 games is hilariously ironic.
You asked why Goodson didn't start until the last 3 games. How the hell do I know. I'm assuming that you don't know why Hall didn't play (barely play) against Iowa. Who knows those things other than the coach?
I'm not bragging about it. I wish he's have started sooner. I'm just saying that Hall and Goodson appear to be pretty equally talented. Not a rip on anybody. I think they are both really good and both have great careers ahead of them.
