A few weeks ago, I made fun of many that said the Vikes were done. Well, they are only 1 game behind the Bears and Pack, which wouldn't qualify them for being done.

UNTIL, I came across this:
Report: Kevin, Pat Williams could face doping suspensions

Since the Vikes have one of the best D-Lines in NFL, the loss of both Williams' would really hurt the team.

This is one of the most frustrating seasons of football ever for me if you factor in ISU.

i about **** when i saw the Williams fellas named in that. there goes the d-line. would they get 4 games? Matt Jones from Jax only got 3 for his cocaine deal. do you think it's as bad as that?

I think they'll probably appeal and the suspensions might be reduced, but still, going without the Williams' for even 1 game is something they can't afford.

Are you kidding if the Vikings went to the XFL they wouldn't get anyone... they would lose AP and would be starting "He Hate Me".

Maybe this is a plot to go to the Superbowl next year:

-They keep everyone they need for next year
-The sign or trade for a decent QB
-The fire and hire a good coach
-They draft a play-making receiver in the first round (since they'll finish 4 games worse than before)

Vikes: Superbowl Champs in 2010!

Funniest post of the day

Newsflash. Even a good QB would suck with the receivers the Vikings have. Vikings fans sounds just like the Bears' fans the past few seasons...

This coming from a guy whos team employed Todd Pinkston for 6 seasons.

I don't have as much problem with the WRs as I do with the playcalling and lack of planning when it came to the QB position. Ferrotte is a wave player at best at this point in his career and should not be counted on for more then a few games. Since Chilli did not see a need to get a viable backup here we are. Poor offense, hurting defense (about to be hurting more) and 1 game below .500. With any luck this will lead to Childress getting the boot and we can get a new coach who can coach to a teams strengths.

:realmad:
This I did not need to know today... Can't these idiots stay out of crap that they know is not allowed?? I'm going to have no watchable football the way things are going.

Sorry; There is so much salt on the wounds right now, I thought that a little more wouldn't hurt as badly.

Sounds like they might have a shot at getting off if they can convince the powers that be that their actions were designed to make weight and not mask another substance.

That's kinda weak though. I mean, make weight for what? These guys aren't wrestling!

Kinda ticks me off because these guys are great players. You can't lose your MLB and DTs and hope to win games in the NFL.

I figured the season would be difficult when E.J. Henderson got hurt. I knew it would be when Brad Childress didn't get fired.

I figured the season would be a dissapointment when people were predicting a team that didn't make the playoffs the year before to win the Superbowl this year......

I would've been happy with an NFC North title! I mean did Peter King really NEED to have them go all the way! I HATE Peter King and SI! It's all an elaborate jinx!

Its actually a good reason, alot of the players indicted on these charges were guys that have trouble keeping their weight down. Many have a weight clause in their contracts they adhere to or they get fined. The NFL needs to find a way to walk this thin line as they dont want people using steroids, however the players still need alternate ways to lose weight.
